rhetorically, how many different reasons could MC smartly refuse to transfer a "bad" tool designation?

 

whatever the number could they have a specific message for each instance?

 

"UNABLE TO ADD TO TOOL LIST" is a bit cryptic. which is why i posted on it.

I figured it out. It doesn't like "C'SINK" for a tool name. If I change it to "C-SINK" it will save it to the .tooldb. Never had this problem before ?

 

Well, as a developer, I can tell you that both the double quote ["] characters and Single Quote ['] characters are usually reserved in databases for

encapsulating string literals when doing SQL, ie,.... SELECT Diameter, Flute_Length from tblToolDB where Tool_Name='CSINK'
