Haas HD sub call

Is it possible to have the main program in memory and call all subs from the hard drive?

I'm using a standard M98 right now but it needs main and sub in the same area to work.

I do this on the Mazaks with G65. Haven't tried this yet but thought I'd ask

not listed in book but I can try it.

G65 is for sub program macro call so in Mazaks it looks first in the memory side and then in hard drive.

Haas may not have the smarts for that.

Not as far as I know.

Sub pgms must be local or in the program

M98 - sub pgm call (pgm must be in the pgm list)

m99 - return to main pgm

M97 - local sub call (inside the pgm)

 

G65 ?? Thats a pallet call on horz machines. Forgot what the HAAS was.

G65 is Macro sub routine call on Haas but it is an option that has to be purchased. Not sure if it will do what you are asking.

Yep - G65 is the macro call.

If the main and subs are on the hard drive and in same directory--- maybe. Never tried it.

I use the hard drive for the BIG programs. Like 20 meg.
