It is a vary strong tool.

It's not all that expensive if you can see the long term money it will save you. Check out the opti-path module.

My opinion would be Vericut - as Predator has some missing fundamentals -- at least for me -- we have a heidenhein control ( DMG 200P ) and Predator doesn't support it.

 

And I would highly recommend getting as MasterCAM can produce some unexpected code that only shows in the posted file. Particularly when you get into differnt WCS setups and drilling holes. I can tell you this from experience.

 

BTW - I don't have either program -- yet!

+1000000000 on the PIMIJ weird things seem to happe nwhen you strat messing with WCs and T-plane and C-planes on mastercam.

BTW if you fluent with reverse post for Predator you can try to tune it for your needs.

I've tried to customize the Predator Virtual reverse posts for use with a 5-Axis Heidenhain w/t TNC Conversational code supporting CYCLE 19 with 'spatial' angles (A about X, B about Y, C about Z), and M128 with actual machine angles and have been repeatedly stumped. If anyone has other news or a sample file set, I'm willing to be taken to school.
