Tool Bars in X8

I have installed X8 on a new windows 7 PC. Old PC running X6 on windows XP. In X6 I have tool bars to the right of my operations manager so it is closer to the work area of the screen. I can not figure out how to move them there in X8. Or is there a way to use my X6 tool bar file? I am also trying to figure out where all of the other files from X6 go, since X8 is a fresh install and I can not use the migration utility.

Thanks for the help.

The toolbar in X8 can not be imported from a previous version of mastercam.  The right click menu and the key mapping can though.  You will have to create a new toolbar with X8.  AFAIK, you can not put a tool bar to the right of the tool manager because of the new functionality that they added with the tool manager (auto-hide, dock/undock)

In MC, go to File-Open User Folder and Open Shared Folder. Those are shortcuts to where those type of files are kept. I believe the config folder is in the user folder and the rest are in the shared folder.

In X8 the .mtb file has gone the way of the Dodo.....it has evolved into a .worksspace file.....

Your .mtb CAN be imported into X8 and elvove into a .workspace file

Right click in a blank toolbar area >> Customize

Click on the Context Menu, then click Import, and navigate to your .mtb file, click on it and click open

It can then be set as your default by going into the Config Settings >> Config >> Start/Exit and setting your default workspace file there
