removing extra material

Im holding my part in a vice ,  material is 2.5 thick  part is 2.250 thick so i have .250 to hold on to. so i milled the the profile ,now i want to get rid of the extra material . is there a parameter that tell mc to get rid of all the material outside the profile ?

Optirest will if you used a stock model.

I would create a 2d profile and have a rectangle of the block and use the HSM dynamic mill then go back and contour the profile.

I think his is set to black too, you're probably seeing the stock in red.

I looked at it and immediately thought pocket with island. Just draw a rectangle around it half your cutter size bigger than stock and use pocket.

No bandsaw off extra command. Would need a dummy path to make it look gone.

Thanks guys I got it. I just bought X8 with mill level 2 and solids, coming from X4 mill level 1 , so im just trying to learn it , got help from inhouse the toolpaths are so much easier than screwing around with mill level 1.
