Ruled Lofted Problem

Hello all thanks for all the help with all of my questions I've had. I can't seem to get the ruled lofted to work properly on these chains. I was wondering if someone could tell me what is wrong I try to start them in the same spot and chain them in the same direction but no luck. Thanks all.

This is really really hard to help without the file.  Upload your Mastercam file.  One thing you could try is breaking the geometry at a specific point that will become the start point for both the chains.  Also Mastercam includes several sync options that could help you specifying where the geometry should line up.

Wrong approach in my humble opinion. Should make the surfaces as part of the cavity and then use trim to curves to trim it using 2d from the top view and it will give you the results I think you are after it you want it like the cavity surface. If you want a flat surface that looks like that shape then use use flat boundary. Like John said upload a file and it will be easier to help you.

I did one of them by accident I redid the create curve on one edge and retried and it worked sync chains is new to me right now

 

I wish the tutorial book explained this more they must know this problem

Simplest way to solve this is to break each spline at a desired point. Draw a line in the top view and break them at the intersection point. Than make sure the chains both start at the break you just created.
