I hate to burst your HD bubble, (not really), but if you look at some of the parts on your 'American Made' sled, you might see things like German carbs, Japanese electronics, etc.

 

'Rekd teh Harley Davidson would make great motorcycles if they had as many engineers as they have lawyers!

Hey Bucket, you should know that they sold out years ago. Harley is more concerned with the almighty $$$ than developing something new (V-rod not included). They make more money selling shirts & designer leathers for the instant bikers than they probably do on their (overpriced) bikes.

 

ps. what happened to the VR1000? Could not keep up with the Ducs, Hondas, etc. so they left the series. Too bad because success does not happen overnight.

I lost the Harleys a great American Bike at my last place of employment.Oh why do ask? For about a solid year at least 2 molds a month we lost to CHINA, alot of them were us against them.Also I might add we were not a overquoting shop. mad.gif

 

Speaking of the tooling nation how many forum members represent China? confused.gif Just Curious.
