Splitting surfaces

Yes, there are a couple of ways to do that. You can Modify/Trim/Surface/Split, and then drag the arrow to where you want the surface split ( I don't like this way because it's strickly dynamic and auto cursor doesn't work when picking where to split, which makes accurate splitting impossible). Or when trimming a surface to either surfaces, planes or curves, you can go into Options and set it to keep the original, trim your surface to one side, go into options again, set it to delete and trim the original surface to the oposite side of your surface/curve/plane.

It would be nice if MC could throw in a split option in the trim options dialog.

Hi

You could also use the Moldplus trimming and untrimming tools for surfaces.

Will allow you to trim trimmed-surfaces also without a problem.

Simply create a curve representing the trimming boundary and then use the Zone Split option to keep both sides or the Zone Delete option to keep only the side you want.
