Contour milling

When you chain the bottom of a flat hole

and select the chain feature,

to select all of holes at same diameter

Mastercam select chains both the top and bottom of the holes

can I force Mastercam to only make the chaining  in one plane

Have you tried 3D mode and have the Ignore Depths (in 3D Mode) unchecked? C Plane would seems like the logical choice, but this is Mastercam and sometimes you have to use the features in a way that gets the job done and throw logic out the window.

You could also try activating "single" on your selections. It is the diagonal line.

use circle mill,mask on arc .instead of contour.works for me

Nickc Your method of circle milling seems to work for me But thank you both for the help

I guess my method could be considered lazy or working too much.  I would create curve on one edge on all of the holes I wanted.  Then either method would work in 2d or 3d assuming you use incremental and all of the depths are the same.
