importing operations

I am producing thermoform mold cavities. many times I will receive a solid works file, program it and then changes to several surfaces are required. I need to retain old files as we never know which revision will be used. my question is this... I like to import all ops. into my new model, however operation comments do not show in the new file making it difficult for me to remember what is what whith over 70 ops. at times. is there something i'm missing? lately I have been opening the old file, resaving, importing the model and reselecting geo. Just looking for input. thanks in advance.

Tcommis,

Did you save the operations to an operation library? I find that if I "Save to Library" from the operation manager right-click menu, when I "Get from Library" the operation comments are still there. Save the ops from the original file, convert the new geometry in - deleting current file in process, and Get ops from library. Re-select the geometry from the new part and re-generate the operations.
