I think you have to download PAUTO_2004.zip and MR0105update.zip for v9 and SP1 and update3 for X.

I also got 1628 error. This is how I got it to work. I downloaded and installed windows installer 3.1 manually (windows updater didnt found it) then installed SP1.3 straight from the file I downloaded from mastercams page, got an error that said: could not locate file E:bindatamastercamxmastercam x.msi, so I inserted mastercam X cd and ran the update again.

Today I finally got it installed. I didnt use updatemanager but opened it straight from the .exe file and got error: .... could not locate file E:bindatamastercamxmastercam x.msi. So I installed mastercam X cd and ran the update again. It seems to work now. Couldnt get it work in other computer but it has older version of windows installer.

dwsz71, I have admin rights and have tried to update it both ways.

I have tried update 2 and 3 in two different computers and they both give me error: 1628 failed to complete installation...

I had same problem first when X was released, but it disappeared when we updated our computer and installed X again. Maybe a graphic card issue?

When I go to level manager and try to uncheck a certain level, it always "bounces" to another level and unchecks it. Many times I havent noticed this until I close the level manager and see that there`s wrong level missing. I have to reselect it everytime to get it right. Has anybody else having this?

We have two machines hooked up with those adapters and no problems. Try some other com number it may help.

When I translate iges file in mcx, it doesnt show level names. How can I get them showing?

I have a Lacie 100 gb usb hard drive. It takes two usb ports, one for power and one for data transfer so there is no need for external power suplly. It is just as easy to use as these flash drives.

No SP2. Pc is about 3 years old and no updates after that. Today I managed to move it to another place, where I have internet connection and tried to use windows update, but it gave an error message, when it was installing program called: Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0- ja WinHTTP 5.1 and wont go further. Is it possible to just skip the previous updates (SP1 ect.) and just install SP2?

I have tried to download it elsewhere but it does the same thing. Pc that we use to programming, has no network connection so we cant get any windows updates to it. That might be the problem?...

When I was installing MCX, I couldnt install directx 9.0c. There came an error message that it was not supported by windows xp?. X seems to work fine but is it going to effect somehow?

We got our X last friday and codes on monday. Also the first version of translations came available this week. pretty fast I think.

X found its way to Finland also. Codes should come in few days..

Has anyone in Europe got X yet? Or do we have to wait for localization first...
