  1. But it IS an acceptable answer. And it DOES suck. As I mentioned, they have some code in there to intercept the right click menu... That may be why you're having the issue.
  2. I was also able to move them to a different level and they behave normally.
  3. As I mentioned, I created these lines manually to drive some toolpaths, they were not created by the system. I can blank them and they blank. Then I can unblank them. They're just normal lines but they aren't hiding. The level -25 is me analyzing the entities like you would a chain that was in a hidden level (the - indicates the level is hidden). I re-created the lines on another level, used them in the toolpath, and deleted the originals.
  4. I created that geometry manually to drive a ball end mill. They're not hidden, just the level is turned off. (Toolpath type is contour, I don't display that because it makes it hard to read the plane comments) I rebooted and they're still there. I don't remember blanking anything related to this geometry. Can you go in to more detail about blanking causing issues?
  5. Not sure what's going on but there's a lot of ghosting in MC lately. Things just glitched out, lines visible when all levels are off, selection of entities doesn't always work.
  6. I have probably 15,000 hours of seat time with Gibbs over the decades. It was the first CAM system I ever used (the Gibbs / CAD / CAM / NC Macintosh-only version from the late '80's). Then I learned Virtual Gibbs when it came out for Windows. Ran that for a few years. Thought it was thee xxxx. And it was! Then I ran Mastercam v9.1sp2 and hooo boy did I have culture shock.
  7. That's a bit of a stretch don't you think? I'm a v9 fanboi. I have less than a year of X seat time.
  8. My problems have been fairly minor by comparison to others so that may have something to do with it.
  9. That's a hard no from me. I've managed to get everything I need done here.
  10. Mayhaps they didn't like being called out on their shenanigan's? I haven't logged in to the "official" site and probably never will. I can't imagine they've got more / better support there than the old timers here.
  11. Ahhh, that makes sense. I guess there was a lot of people posting pr0n, illegal file sharing and making racial slurrs and they couldn't control the crowd. Still kind of speaks to my point I suppose.
  12. The PTB here really don't get it, do they? Or perhaps they get it, they just don't GAF...? Seems they got personally butt-hurt and decided to cut off their own nose in spite of their face.
  13. Technically you could program it more accurately, but the machine will still do what the machine will do.
  14. Maybe when MC figures out how to release a functional version each year I'll upgrade each year. But to date they're taking years to address issues. I'm not interested in beta-testing released software.
  15. The way I read it the dealer was encouraging them to upgrade because it gets harder and harder with each release. And I agree with OP, I don't want to be a beta tester for 2024 and would wait at LEAST until release 3. I may bite the bullet and have it installed along with 2020 so I can try it out.
  16. Is there a way to control the angle for each button push? 22.5°? It's at 5.625° now, I want 22.5°.
  17. xxxx Windows 11. They put a shell over the shell the put over the Win8 shell for Win7. The right click menu is a prime example of them being lazy af: Right click. Select "More Options" (cuz they took out most of the stuff I use) and viola! There's the old Win10 menu with the legacy Win7 menu stuff. Who does it remind you of?
  18. Especially now that you can write that phone off on your taxes (you're using it for work)
  19. Good programmers are not graded by how well they can write a program (or post). They are graded by how quickly and efficiently they can get someone else's code to work in their application.
  20. ... Oh xxxx. I'm back, sorry. I was LOLing so hard I had to let go of my desk to hold my belly (cuz it hurt from so much LOLing) so I fell over backwards and hit my head but I'm ok now! Seriously though, not all software is the same.
  21. My guess is literally 75% of mom-n-pop shops will quit maintenance and half of those will say xxxx it and move to something that isn't moving backwards in the name of progress.
  22. I'm sure it will be for those involved in it's development. "Hey Clem I think we got all them thar bugs." But for the users? That remains to be seen. I cringe at the thought of this turning out like MC's Active ReBidens.
  23. Gage pin in a slot is the fastest way I can think of. Or a comparator.
  24. Oh, but I DO get it. Now. (I'm a little slow sometimes.)
