I am using v9.0 with updates & Win 2000. Does anyone know if it works with this setup. I can't get anything but standard menu.
And 100th Post !!!!!!!!!!
Think about this for vX.
Most of the time when I do a pocket, I will rough it out with tool#1, then do a finish cut with tool#2.
I will leave .003 amount of stock to leave and turn finish pass off. Then with T2 I will turn rough passes off. I want to use the same cutter comp "wear" on both tools. On T1 I am using only the rough option and don't have the option to turn cutter comp on.
What am guess trying to say is i want to keep the amount of stock difference between rough and finish to stay the same.
It's 3:30 am and my thought's are getting lost.
Come on 7:00
Hope thing go good for pappy-in-law. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.
I have often wondered about the air that I breath in the shop. If you see anything that has sat around for a couple of months, there's always gum built up on it. You can look at the filters on the AC they are covered with gummy oil base after a couple of weeks. Well I have filters (lungs) also, but can't replace them once a month.
I here that Europe is way ahead of the US on machining dry. Any true to this?
Lst week I was having trouble trying to open SW2003 files. I was told to do an update. I did this today. I get an error warning when I go to post my program. This is the error:
Warning -unsupported function call.
Recompile with new m_*.h files, link with new m_*.obj files.
Does anyone no what this means?

I'm having problem converting SW2003 SLWPRT files. I get an error saying there is no parasolid data located in the file. I'm trying to convert same as I have always done using SW2001. Does anyone have any idea what my problem is.
I am running MC V9
Thanks
I am having trouble rotating enities that I have created in with solids. The part has the same features at 120 deg x3. I have drawn all the features that I need. Now I just need to rotate them 120 deg, equally spaced 3 times. I have uploaded a file to the ftp page :solidssolid tube.zip is the file name.
Can you point me in the right direction.
As I said before, the slot, pin, wheel and collet slot all need to be rotated 120 deg x2. Equally spaced 3 times.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Fixed the problem with stinger. Thanks!
I think this forum should be linked to the White House. I have yet to have a problem that this crew couldn't fix. We could only wish that was the way it worked in Washington.
I can get by with a little help from my Friends!!!
Hopefully some of you Brainacks can help with this question.
I continue to get this error (svchost.exe) while I am on the net. I can be online for a time then get this alarm. After I get this alarm I have to completely shut my system down in order to download anything.
When I reboot system I can download until I get this error.
I have tried to get the windows updates for 2000 from microsoft web page. Before I can complete the download I get the error. It's a crazy cycle that I'm not able to win.
I have replaced the file from another computer, didn't work, same problem.
Can anyone tell me what this file does, or how to fix the problem.
Oh I frgot to say I use "Granny Net" or dail-up as some call it.
I know this isn't MC related, but it's driving me MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cad,
I am running V9.0. We are waiting to move up to v10.
I changed gap setting to smooth and add tangecial line to the toolpath and it worked great.
All I need is a little help from my friends!!!!!!!!!
"Beatles"
I am doing a finish flowline toolpath w/zigzag cut. The cutter is leavig a small lump at the end of the surface. How can I get rid of this lump without changing setting to oneway or extending my surface. Is there a solution to my problem.
I am using V9.0
Rob
I tried the oneway with parallel and it still does a postive z move.
I tried 3d contour. It doesn,t do the positive z move. But it doesn't clean-up the cut surface in certain spots that do clean-up when using parallel finish.
I'll keep working.
