Are you trying to make it tapered (big on one end and smaller on the other)?
-
@Aaron Eberhard You have so much knowledge of these toolpaths and Mastercam. On top of that your explanations are world class!!!
Kudos (also envious)!!!!!

I was able to get decent results with Power Surface in MC2023

This. ^^^ A thousand times, this!!
Could be as simple as adding a colour mask option or an ability to manage the levels within Trim.

Select the model on the graphics screen and do a “save some”. Then save it as an .STL file.
-
Look at the local settings within the files and look at the global settings.
Also study the code to determine if the direction in correct after posting to compare what is correct vs the incorrect.
Outside of that having verification software would check the actual posted G-Code.
-
I looked at the files quickly and found something that could be causing the issue.
See this video.
One other thing to watch on Haas machines is there is a setting to "mirror" the axis, not sure why you would want to mirror an axis (just program it correctly).

Mine comes out clean. I linked the file.

If you post a ziptogo file it will be easier to see what is going on.
-
Honestly neither (Unless you have licensed the Machsim module and have a Kinematic aware post) ....G-Code simulation or verification is the most accurate.

I've accidentally filled out the wrong field due to fat fingering when using tab to move between fields?
I have had it with the tools set to be numbered sequentially (for a Haas umbrella tool changer) and the tool number goes to say T1 and the H and D go to 0. Once I go into edit tool and type 1 into the T number it changes the D and H accordingly. But without doing this manually it sometimes puts in other numbers.
Not sure of the culprit.

Ideally I'd like the H and D values inside Mastercam to stay the same and quit randomly changing.
This is what I experienced.......randomly changing although my control definition was set correctly. This was happening back in X7 and I have experienced it in MC2019, MC2020.

I got tired of this.... @Colin Gilchrist showed me how to modify my post so that it forces the T and D to match.

Post a valid ziptogo file.
-
Can you share the folder?
-
Best to look at one of the existing Machines to see how everything is saved. The folder name is important and the XML file name is as well, I think they need to match.

You need to upload a valid Mastercam file.

Did you try asking your reseller?

It is just a graphics issue I believe. The Backplot shows it correctly. Set the Backplot Options to simulate rotary axis and axis substitution.

Everything looks correct except the Lead In/ Out Arc Entry and Exit. Then they get you to change the rough stepover to 20%. Then do the rolldie operation.
The tool just looks like it is cutting in the wrong location but after the verify finishes it looks correct.

+1 to using a ball nose end mill.
Also you can try using "Angle Increment" in Tool Axis control to make the vectors closer together (using a small number like 0.5 degrees or smaller)

This tutorial is an axis substitution then a rolldie Chook
Can you attach your file?
