You All sound like a bunch of domestic goddesses griping about being a housewife. Just get back to work and earn your living. Since the advent of CNC machining, the trade is worthless. Get real we are all fading faster than the T-Rex.
True talent is in the mind.
INVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
control def. under the tool heading you will find in X that it is set to from tool for your L and D offsets. select add to tool which opens up the fields to the right and replace the default 30 to 0 zero will add nothing to your L or D offset giving you T1 D1 and H1 every time you select a tool. Be sure to save your control def. after the change.
first close X.
if you go through windows explorer and got to c:mcamx/config/ (delete files named)
mcamx.config
mastercam.mtb
then reopen X you will get a error dialog box.
then close X and return to explorer and you will see that it remade the mcamx.config file and as well you should see a default.mtb file. Rename the default.mtb to mastercam.mtb
close explorer and restart X all should be good
good luck
my entire line of tooling in the ops manager has the feed/plunge/retract rates and rapid retract rate greyed out.
can you clearify further, so are they greyed out in your parameters page?
the c:mcamx/ directory
may be the problem most all highspeed machining paths are in higher mill levels. What level are you?
Also that c: mcamx tells me your not on MR1 which fully supports the highspeed paths
I just downloaded X+ from this forum and see that this is a useful utility.
So my question is, is it possible to create your own icons and bring them into mastercam and attach keystrokes to them? for example (enter or escape) under your right mouse button or to just change the icon for a user app. (c- hook). Because they are defaulted with the same icon in X
