  1. No Xeon Procs!!!! Mcam has had issues with this proccessor
  2. Ask uncle Sam for some real classroom training. I know from experience that people get so much more out of classroom training. On-site training almost always leaves the customer unhappy. That is why when a customer asks forr On-site training i try to eexplain why coming to class would be so much more beneficial.
  3. select axis substitution above. the it will post out a "A"
  4. It changes because if you get a file from someone else they may have geometry that matches your highlight colors. So you will have to change the color of the geo. or change your system colors. This has always been a problem. Or you can utilize the entity attribute manager, and be sure to open a new .mcx and merge in your designated file.
  5. I point this OE problem out in my classes all the time and specifically point out the error you are making. It is very easy to miss the window around arcs. This is one place I have requested a interactive dialog box added. It should prompt you to select geometry to extrapulate the arcs out of.
  6. ya use wcs Do NOT Rotate the part, not yellin' just emphasizing
  7. this is exactly what I have been working on for a year it is not as easy as you think.
  8. its under the toolpath manager. Out of the box MC will ask you if you want to change the .nc file name. If you look in the config area. It is also set to prompt on first op and then it is checked to revert to the .mcx file name. So this is saying that if you change the name of the 1st ops .nc name the second op will be the same name as the .mcx file. To fix this change the second option to last ops. nc name and it will always keep the previous ops. name.
  9. It is designed to assure you that your servos stop at the correct position.
  10. read my earlier post above
  11. under config area toolpaths but I believe these are just for associativity
  12. read corner rounding in your control file . It is under linear also you might try to take a look at the machine dynamics page under general machine parameters in your .mmd these dynamics are specifically for HSM
  13. ya, that button works totally fine. possibly OE, what does your interactive prompt say?
  14. save each with its own config file, then put the config file in your icon properties. voila
  15. Thad why are you working over a network. I would work local and save over network after I was finished. Maybe create a temp folder on your desktop.
  16. Sure, but full blown parametric based software is very involved. Although this is where Mastercam is headed
  17. Matt you have got to be Mckidding!
  18. there is an easier acces point. In your job setup files: at the bottom of the page there is a config button to the right of your operation defaults page. This will change your defaults for any machine that uses either inch or metric. Where as if you change them in your control file you will have to set up each machine def. individually.
  19. simplify command under the edit pull down
  20. do you have cutter comp on in backplot config?
  21. The only security you will ever have is the knowledge in between your two ears. That is what I worry about. Not where I learn, but what I learn.
  22. Oh ya David when you use the first plane to set down youe geometry, just go back after the rectangle and delete the view you used to construct the rectangle.
  23. Yep I always create a rectanlge in positive X,Y
