You need to have the machine loaded, go to settings, control definition, arc, uncheck support arcs in the XY, YZ, XZ, save, o.k. your way out, restart mastercam, now try it on a new toolpath and it should be outputting only linear moves.
Are you sure that you are installing a full version and not a 9.1 patch disk. If you still have a 9.0 disk you may want to try to load it first then work up to 9.1.
Just had a customer install it with Windows 2000, he is also running his graphics at full acceleration due to modeling software. If he just sets tool and hits o.k. to generate path he can go back in and set the lead in/out. If he tries to do it when it first opens the parameters it errors out and closes. I figure it is either the graphics or Win 2000 just wanted to see if anyone else had seen this issue.
The driver_x.zip will work with V9 as well.
Since it is a regular hasp be sure to go to start, all programs, mcam9, nhasp utilities and make sure the hasp box is checked. If it is not, it will search the network for a hasp that's not there and say no hasp found.
You may want to try unchecking the box that say's restore entire nci file on file/get. This will sometimes open a file that is alarming out as yours is. If it doesn't then the file is probably corrupted.
What he is saying is when you go to pick the editor, instead of just picking the Mastercam editor from the list pick other to browse to the one you want, now go to c:/MCAMX/common/editors/mastercam/ and pick the MCXSART.EXE file.
If you go to start, all programs, MCAMX, documentaion, pick the installation guide and go to the section about command line switches it will cover what you need for your nethasp.
Just to be sure, you say you just loaded mcx on the new machine? Since the X2 cd's were just sent out recently I wondered if you did have the same version of Mastercam on both machines?
If you load the disk it will come up and when you tell it to install mcamx it will come up and give you the option to do a repair install instead of a full install which sometimes finds and fixes problems, but not always.
Try going to C:/mcamx/common/editors/mastercam/and try double clicking on the MCXSTART.exe. Does this open the editor? Either way, I would try doing a repair install and see if that helps.
In settings, configuration, Make sure that under default machine the one you want is selected for that type of product, but also make sure in start/exit, the default product is selected also, it is usually defaulted to design.
Did you copy your ops, tools, and config to the new machine? If you have changed any default setting on the old machine they may not be set up the same and could turn ops dirty.
In settings, configuration, start/exit, set the editor to PFE, post out a part . Now go back and set it to the Mastercam Editor. Try to post ans see if this has helped. I have seen it do this and usually this procedure fixes the problem.
Just saws this. You could have just gone into post under program and debugging switches. Find this line
scaxadrs A #Address for the rotary axis
change to
scaxadrs C #Address for the rotary axis
tried it and this would have given you the desired C output as well.
