Set up Ref. points above part so machine can have room to wind up before entering part. The approach works fine but no retract, just stops at the drill cycle retract.
For now I have to manually type in moves so machine will not unwind into fixture.
Any suggestions?

selecting and deselecting ops using surface geo lags forever.
What a step backwards, modifing operation surfaces is a mess, my mouse also starts sprinting across screen. Is there a fix coming soon? Is this a bug?
Moldmaker
Works fine here, just a thought, after selecting your plane then solid are you hittin enter twice?
I have noticed since MR2 create slice is way worse when there are say 600 or more surfaces, mouse goes crazy and very slow to select.
I just recently loaded up MR2. Seems at random the icons in the utilities toolbar just disappear, just the ones I added. Drag the toolbar in the graphics window and they reappear. Any thoughts?
When using a flat endmill the RenShape will have a tendency to tear out at abrupt toolpath direction changes. I recommend using carbide bullmills for flats and problem gone.
Does your control have TCP? "Tool center point"
If it does, you post out zero tool length and let the control handle everything, once its set up properly.
I just rechained it and looks fine now. At first I turned off entry/exit and it sill entered at odd angle. Not sure what caused the problem but try to rechain geo.
When backplotting the drill goes right to the set point (perfect) but the next move is a rapid right over selected drill point (not good), then proceeds rotating axis to enter part. This seems backwards and not usable.
When just using a z value everything is fine, throw in some x,y and I have tried abs and inc with no difference.
Any suggestions
Span, thats it. It is not changing the tool back to 90. I just ran the verify gview right side and its plain as day. I wonder what the solution is.
PC here running a ATI Radeon X300 128 mb card
I made a simple model similar to what im working on and put on the ftp site named: verify test, in the X2 folder.
I would like somebody to load it up and verify with the curve 5 axis path on then off. Let me know if its just my system or what. Thanks again
Yes I have multi axis verify, I even fired up X2 MR1 to try (same result) and had to enter my access code.
If I run all the ops except the pocket and save stock as stl then run the pocket spiral it works fine.
I suppose I will just need to post it out and look for anything weird.
I have a couple roughing ops, a few curve 5 axis, then a simple pocket op using true spiral. Run verify and the pocket operation looks like it was cut with a chain saw. So I changed pocket op to parallel spiral and looks great.
Also if I verify without the multi axis paths it looks fine using true spiral.
Anybody have any suggestions, thanks
Fellow elixirian,
Im the tooling manager at the Vancouver div. Feel free to call and perhaps I could help.
Hang in there and learn as much as possible.
Sounds like your routers are just not up to the task at hand. I would try different router bits offered by Onsrud and program your feeds within the limits of the router. If that means running very slow, oh well! at least parts are being made while your company researches a solution.
