I have been having problems with verify stalling out, then crashing if I click on anything. If I just wait it resumes after a minute or two. My box just barely makes the system requirements for X3. I tried turning off HA but makes no difference.
Does this sound like a new card is in order? more ram?
Good info, thanks
I sometimes have problems with choppy cuts during the rotations esp. with filter on. Just looking at a backplot with point gen. set as explained above it looks real good.
Michael,
Support your formed part, apply a release and yes paint "we use cheap brushes and cut down bristles to make brush stiffer" on a surface coat. The surface coat will be thin. Let coat almost harden but still tacky. Then pat on a layer 3/8" to 1/2" of laminating paste. Paste is like thick cookie dough. Add plywood ribbing as needed.
I only worked with this stuff on a small project to see how it worked, quickly found out that a big mixer is needed to mix it on a large scale.
The heat generated was minimal, dimensionaly accurate, light and very strong.
Try contacting your pattern materials supplier and ask then give you some sample material to try out.
How bout a laminating paste system. Ren 8169 or ? Check out FreemanSupply.com
Instead of pouring material, you apply a surface coat then pad in a layer of laminating paste. You will need a Hobart type mixer to mix this stuff.
If its a new part I will machine fixture usually from Renshape or similar. So nice that everything is aligned perfect for adding o-rings, vac channels, revisions, ect.
I have done some large low volume part fixtures from MDF to save $$ but you need to seal it up to get a good hold.
This has happened to me when importing iges then rotating, the const plane would not stick or said not saved. Simply saved it as is then closed MC then reopen all good.
Todd,
You can coat your High Density or more common MDF patterns with baby powder during forming. Just pour some in a shop rag and pat down your pattern, remove excess and your baby is good to go
No autosave here, seems like there was potential problems in the past. So not using it for so long I naturaly just hit save as work flows along.
Backup always on, I have mine set at 10 instances.
I like the format, options, ect. but the create/regen time is way long.
Of course it could be something Im missing since I just started using it, like a faster puter.
Yes, retract is checked. I have tried all sorts of combinations. I found a setting in the control def. Machine cycles>>> drill cycle>>> and checked Return to reference height, but no change.
