  1. Quote ------------------------------------------------- Any ideas about how to stop the lag or how to make the Mastercam editor communications work ? ------------------------------------------------- What baud rate you are using for communicating. I don't think changing editor will make a much difference as it is the baud rate at which controller is accepting the data irrespective of which program is used for communicating.
  2. How much is the available memory in machine itself. with 21I control.
  3. Can we have simultanious movement in X,Z and C with Fanuc 0I-TC control.
  4. Hi Guys' We reecently bought a small high precision cnc lathe with C axis, It was supposed to be coming with 21I-TB control but arrived with 0I-TC control, can anybody tell us if we are better off with 0i-tc control or we were ripped off. Thanks
  5. If you are using the same plane you must have same work offset. Becuuse "If" statement says if new work offset is greater or less then(not same)as previous offset it will force the routine from Ptlchg0. Thanks
  6. Hi Bruce, Can you please check "work offset" in "planes" in tool path parameters, and what is misc integer 1 for both operations. thanks
  7. Is it possible to bring geometry from pdf files in mastercam. :headscratch: Thanks
  8. I have most of posts updated from mc9, Still control defination overrides post setting for debugging in all of them.
  9. Threept82 After editing control defination as collin said, Sometimes you need to open Machine defination manager again, pick control again in there and save the changes and post again it should work.
  10. Hi Mark, I had a simillar problem and best results I got were from sandvik cast iron grades uncoated P10A K10 OR pvd coated P20A K15. I know it sounds wierd.
  11. Thanks Guys, I am allringht with g98/g99 issue, I am using mm/min feed and getting g98 in this operation and is back to g99 for the next operation. Only problem is I need s0 or m05 in nc output.
  12. Hi Guys, I am trying to do a small broaching operation on lathe with fanuc control. I am using drill cycle and want to have zero RPM but as min RPM in post is set to 50 RPM, Mastercam changes it from 0 to 50. Is there a way to override this Rpm without changing the post or control defination.
  13. quote ------------------------------------------------- It is possible to re-calculate the RPM value ------------------------------------------------- Hi Allen, how can we recalculate it as in one of my okuma posts it outputs only 1/5th of the actual G97 value. G2X0.Y1.25R1.25 G40G1Y1.5 ------------------------------------------------- Hi Peter just curious did you get this output from a cam program because may be while going from G41D1Y-1. at X0 to G2X-1.Y0.R1.25 you might be digging in job if you are machining a boss.
  15. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From what section of the New Mpmaster X2 post? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I removed feed from pdrill_2.
  16. I tried same thing as I told you it worked for me. Now I even tried removing feed from pdrill_2,It seems bit risky but It did not change any other output.
  17. It comes from pdrill_2 or ptap_2. Look for *feed try changing to feed. It should work.
  18. Hi David, Why do you need feed in lines after canned cycle. If you remove F from there it will automatically rapid to next point.
  19. Hi Jason, Thanks for reply. I tried similler thing a few months ago, Here was my code. fq 1 sfilename "Enter path, name and extension of the file to merge" #Define prompt for file to merge sfilenotfound "File not found... Redo or Cancel file merge?" #Define error message to display if file not found sstring1 #Record string for output sfilename #Path, filename and extension of file to merge rc1 : 1 #Initialize read counter for buffer 1 size1 : 0 #Initialize variable to hold buffer size fbuf 1 0 80 1 1 #Declare buffer 1 It worked allright only thing I could not link it to looking for file I had to manually enter the path.
  20. Yes I can use a manual entry but output comes after first toolchange and I want it in the header because I have lot of information on top of file coming from pheader, pwrrt and Ptooltable. I also use psof for bar pull and stockfeed routines.
  21. I am using Pquestions to put information like job name, Drawing No and Issue No, in nc output. Is it possible that I can have a external file(same name as mcx file created by VB)and insted of asking questions post looks into this file and outputs in nc output.
  22. Yes I tried Glenn, But insted of increasing the feed it reduced from 500mm/min to 128.1mm/min. I am using a contour toolpath and I am milling a o-ring groove on a 20dia boss using 63mm convex slitting saw. And another thing don't you think it should give us option for hole and boss.
  23. I absolutly agree with you eric.
