  1. Hi, If this line wasn't already in the post, it won't make a differnce if you paste it in. If this line was already in the post, you should change yes$ to no$. cool_zmove : yes$ #Coolant off with last move You might want to check pretract for coolant changes.
  2. Hi, Just wanted to let you know that it works like a charm using Verisurf. I still can't use Mastercams own create point/line/spline though. Thanks Ron.
  3. Hi newbeeee, Mpmaster has a switch that can do this between cuts. cool_zmove : yes$ #Coolant off with last move Check your post for coolant$ = zero in ptlchg0$ for example.
  4. Thank you all for your replies! I want to get my points/lines/splines into Mastercam. I figure I have to have some driver/software to get it running since it's an old device with serial cable. From what I've read today I need something called MicroScribe Utility Software and that should be enough to get the points into Mastercam. We could contact the owner of the arm, but even if they have a CD I wouldn't get it for a couple days. Ron you've got mail!
  5. Hello guys, We have borrowed a MicroScribe-3D measuring device to test. Unfortunately it didn't come with drivers. (I guess I need a driver to use it). Does anyone know how i I can get this thing running?
  6. I guess you'll have to compare the posted program to the one you retrieved from the control.
  7. Hej Gunnar och Henrik! Jag är ute och reser. Tillbaka på fredag. Kommer sätta mig in i problemen när jag är tillbaka. Excuse my swedish
  8. OK John, I'm currently running a Beta on X3, and it works fine. Can't remember if I tried it in the first X3 release.
  9. Mine always start at #1. What version are you running?
  10. Mick/David, If you revolve from 180 to 540 when creating the surface, it works. I think this is something for QC. Sorry about my original post in this thread. I thought about an issue from X2mr2. [ 09-08-2008, 07:06 AM: Message edited by: Bjorn Petersson AME AB ]
  11. Hi Justin, Do you get this message when starting up, or can you work for a while before it closes? Would you get the same result using this HASP on another computer? This might happen if you don't make Firewall exceptions for NETHASPs, if your USB:s "timeout", or if you plug/unplug the HASP. I'd try to swap HASP with a station that works. Hope you find the cause:)
  12. Hi, Two of our customers, get this error "Invalid Sim found error code 2" with X3. I can't find suspicious Emulator/HASP in the register. I can't find the HASP files that causes this error in windows/system either. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
  13. Any news on this from QC? I'm getting curious:)
  14. Alex, Will you share this great tool? I sure would like it, and I bet I'm not the only one.
  15. Crazy^Millman, I've done a post with options for each quadrant, and it seems you got it the same way. My options were I+ or - J+ or - (and a retract value) Using IJK values you can retract in any plane. You can combine for example I+1 and J+1 to get a 45 degree move. If you use Q instead there is a parameter setting. I've got some documentation, but all in swedish.
  16. I find the new Electrode Maker in Moldplus much easier to work with (V10 that is). It looks nicer too.
  17. Thanks Jimmy, This is similar to what I did. (SetCPlaneNormal) My problem now is to set plane names and make it easy to benefit from.
  18. Click Groups. Bottom right corner of your screen. If there are many groups, and you were not aware of them: Try deleting them. Good luck:)
  19. I've got a cleanup-tool for dotnet. Don't know if it would solve your problem. If you want to try, do a search on dotnetfx cleanup. You should find it on a microsoft page. PS. Haven't tried it myself. No need yet:)
  20. Hi, Something that might be worth a check is the Groups. I've got files from customers where groups have been duplicated, and the file very slow to work. (But it should affect the filesize too)
  21. Hello John! Open the .control and go to the Files-Mill section. Check the Keep error File drop down. The option On fatal errors could solve your problem. I guess yours is set to On fatal and non-fatal errors.
  22. Thanks Karl, That would help:) (Stupid me read the help yesterday and didn't try this, as my mind was locked on rotary commands)
  23. Hello, Since I haven't had the time to learn Visual studio and C++, I've made some simple VBscripts, and with Scriptlinker I find this really useful. Customers doing 4-axis vertical machining tend to use the plane BACK or create another plane with one axis pointing in the wrong direction. I've had them use a file with 36 new planes, merging every geometry into that file. This so they don't need to create so many planes from scratch. Questions: How to create new planes in VBscript? I'd like to pick an axis, angle increment and direction. Then have them named with the angle. Maybe I should send this as an enhancement request to QC instead, and hope for a new command? Anyone else thought about this?
