yes maybe, no maybe. It depends on how you chained your operations when programming them. If you chained multipule parts for each operation, then no, however if you chained each part seperatly then yes it is possible to set up seperate work offset without rechaining all of the geometry.

I hate to say it but maybe reinstalling is best. I had a problem when using a bounding box to identify stock while using solids, It just refused to "see" the Z axis stock size no matter what I did, but others weren't having the issue. A fresh install cured it and I had to install 9 times before I could get X3 on my laptop but all is fine now.
Maybe I'm missing something. Isn't the documentation only available after the install is complete? That seems a little late to read the installation guide & make decisions about which install method to choose. I agree that reading the documentation should be done prior to installation, so why can't we download the docs seperatly?
edit: I just found this thread but the files are still not available to download.

I think a central place to list the CONFIRMED bug issues would be a good reference over the next couple of weeks as we transition to X3. I encourage everyone to list their confirmed bugs along with the number and a brief description or a link back to where it is discussed, so we can all benefit from the group knowledge. So lets have 'em.
99999.999 This is the max decimal places for most machines in inch mode. If you have 6 numbers to the left or 4 numbers to the right, then there is your problem. Just guessing but I would say it is your B axis move being set to 4 places to the right of the decimal, its a very common mistake.

Toolman,
It works fine in X2, I just tried it so something is definatly different.
Thad,
He is talking about switching toolbar states. When you switch toolbar states and then close X3, and then reopen, it starts with the last toolbar state instead of the your default toolbar state.
Seems like this should be a simple setting in configuration...
I installed at the office on Xp Pro sp3 and all went well then I tried the same install at home on a laptop with Vista home premium and I get this error.
quote:
Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. this could indicate a network error, an error reading reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I have re-downloaded 3 more times and each time I try to install I get the same error.
Here is a very simple tool table postblock to help get you started.
code:
ptooltable #Tooltable output
sopen_prn, *t$, sdelimiter, pstrtool, sclose_prn, e$ #sdelimiter, *tlngno$,
Sometimes MC won't let go of the solid geometry, if you later decide it is the wrong size and pick a point, then try to use the Diameter field to input a value. Your able to enter a value but it is ignored and the original solid geometry size is used. I don't know why but it does. The only fix I have found is to select just the point not the arc center point and even then sometimes this doesn't work. Otherwise, delete the operation and start over ensuring that you select a point and not the solid geometry. I did however get your file to work correctly.

I know some aren't going to believe this but my X2 post "created" a v9 style .txt file all on its own. I've been adding probing to the latest mpmaster using custom drill cycles lately and have no idea if this is somehow related, I just noticed it in the post directory one day. My post still has the text portion at the bottom and it doesn't seem to affect anything. Has anyone else ever seen this? What could cause this?
