Well, after a bunch of searching on the forum, I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. I've watched the E-apprentice video many times and printed out the sheets he has. I'm using the MPRouter post and router md/cd. I still need clarification on using
If I choose yes. Do I need to enter the distance from the gauge line to the center of the cutter? And does this number go in to the OAL of the Ag head, or the endmill?
So far the post outputs G19.
I draw tool exactly as it sits on my desk(radius), use a dashed red center line. Save to custom tools folder. Create new tool>undefined>custom file>cutter diameter is the actual cutting diameter. Back plots/verifies perfectly. Pretty cool how there are so many different ways though.
Hey Guys, on the first pass only, my tool keeps gouging my workpiece. Any ideas?
Her's a picture of the first 2 passes, you can see by the depth it's gouging.
Thanks Chris, I replaced the OPS and no more error. I also did some digging and COM2 didint exist, so I switched all to COM1 and I'm good. Thanks again
Ok, so I migrated all my X5 stuff per JPs pdf instruction sheet. I get the below error, but I'm allowed to use the OP anyway. Should I just copy from my X5 folder into a temp folder and migrate again?
I copied all my COM settings over from X5. Settings in my CD and Settings>Com dialogue are identical. When I post and click ok, the post status bar completes, then I get the below error. My CD settings override.
I'm roughing a boss using Dynamic Core, leaving .025 on the walls, and .01 on the floor. I'm watching the verbose #'s in verify and they correspond to the programmed values, but not with what I'm seeing. Backplot is fine. When in verify, I finish the boss to Z-1.0, the verbose Z value is Z-1.0, but it's not finishing at that depth. Basically, verify isn't matching. Anybody else having this issue?
