  1. Yes, HA5C, no collet, chuck is threaded on and torqued and I put a jack underneath at each hole operation. I put a scribe mark to watch for slippage.
  2. Okay Guys, I switched over to Planes by Normal for each hole. WCS set at TOP T/C set at each specific hole plane. but I get this error at the angled holes.
  3. Thanks DJ, I do appreciate the feedback. Yup everything is incremental, when I show the toolpath it looks perfect, I just can't make it match in the machine. The heat is on and I have to get this right.
  4. Well, my counter bores have the correct depth, but now when I go to spot the thru hole, what appeared great in MC, only the hole at 0° has a visible spot. Now when I do my Hole Axis points/lines for this, the point should be at the hole centerpoint at the bottom of the C'bore, with the axis line going up to the surface correct? I'm using Multiaxis drill.
  5. When it goes down to do the helix. Clearance is set at 2.0 Yea, it's not that high, I just though MC was perfect and it would work just like backplot. I bumped the retract and feedplanes up and I'll see how that works.
  6. Nope, no dog leg, just a nice hole to hole around a window. The picture above is a RIGHT side view. In this point the helix is starting above the stock. Top of stock is where the c'bore starts, but in the machine, it's already touching the work
  7. Yes, X and Y are locating on pins relative to center line. I started milling C'bores and as you can see in the pic, the helix starts above the surface, but IRL, as the angle increases (to the right) the tool hits the part before it begins the helix bore. I checked COR height in the machine, the height is exactly what it is in Mastercam. X and Y are on pins so they can't go anywhere. In Mastercam Y is on center line. Verify and Backplot look perfect. Am I overlooking something? The double lines are holes slightly shifted from each other on each side of a window. I measured from the table up to COR and from there up to the top of stock and it matches MC within .0006.
  8. Hey all, in the Front view pic below, the center line of the indexer goes thru the middle of my 1.0 thick fixture plate mounted between centers, with that my part which is withinthe bounding box was moved up in Z .50. Is this the correct positioning method for Center of Rotation? COR Sample.mcx-9
  9. Hey Guys, I have a panel with some angled holes and I created a new WCS at COR for the holes. The toolpath looks good, verify and the code look good, but when I backplot, the model flips at angle, but drills in the correct location. I didn't move to TOP/TOP because I never have issues with Multi-Axis Drill and WCS. Any ideas? Mic
  10. Hey Guys, As you can see in the pic the only C'bored hole with an intact body is the one at 90°, the other holes are at angles and I can't get hole axis lines off of them. Can Mcam solids fix this, or should I have engineering repair it? Also, can I just draw lines and a point and Mcam will still recognize them as "Hole Axis Lines" The holes exit into a large radius so the holes are elliptical. Thanks
  11. I bet they would kill if they did make one
  12. Just out of curiosity, why don't these 2 builders make an Integrex/Multus style machine (main/sub spindle, milling head, lower turret) Do they just focus on what they do best, since they don't make lathes or they let the others handle that market? (Cublex aside)
  13. Isn't Psycho at Flextronics? Anyways, more pics!
  14. That move at 1:52...might wanna watch that one. Congrats. oh and pic of Makino or didn't happen.
  15. Not as cool as my Wilderness belt As for the MX, man that thing is frikkin sweet! I loved the 2 chick vises on the side and the Raptor on the C. When I first got into the trade, I would take vacation days and drive down to attend Westec and spend 2 days just walking and taking it all in. Now, I can't imagine how small it is.
  16. A belt buckle? I passed. I got a bottle opener from the Haas Drill/Mill. BTW, smallest I've ever seen that "Expo"
  17. Thanks again guys. A little update... Management arrived at the conclusion that it would be way to much because they have to get Legal involved since it's software and the licensing headaches wouldn't be worth the trouble. WTH!? Multibillion dollar corp FAIL....yet again.
  18. I'll get it and post it,. (pleeease be an MX-520)
  19. Since work won't fund 2 hours for me to go, I'm going on my own time. I missed the last one, will this one just be a couple CMMs and beef jerkey/tazer vendors? If anything I'm looking forward to seeing the MX-820. Anybody going?
