  1. I have some re-occuring mold inserts that we do several times a year and some of the tools we send out to have re-sharpened. Is there any way to use cutter comp on this toolpath (HST Core roughing) so I won't have to re-program for resharpened tools? Thanx
  2. I done side by side in my office and the Mill PC out on the floor. No problems with my workstation, but the mill pc out on the shop floor is about to pi$$ me off!!! I think I will do standalone install when I do the lathe and wire edm workstations. I am also going to do an uninstall-reinstall on the mill station.
  3. I'm not too sure what you're trying to describe, but we have a Mori and when I do c axis, the operator has to put a radius value in the offset register and also tell it that it is an X or Z milling head HTH
  4. I have got some from Copper & Brass Sales before. They have terminals across the USA
  5. Thanx to all for the info. I'm SWAMPED today. Might have time to try tomorrow.
  6. It works fine when not posting to a network folder.
  7. I have my NC files posting to a folder on the network and it is not putting the logo and tool pics on my html setup sheet. How do I get them back on there? Where in the program does it direct the .png files to the html sheet? Thanx
  8. Duh.....nevermind. I put the md, cd and pst files on the network and dont have x+ on the network yet, Sorry to bother
  9. Hello all, X+ setup sheet is not showing the logo or any of the tool pics anymore. I looked in the png folder and all of the tools are still there and the logo is still in the main mcam folder, but it is just not putting them on the html file. Any ideas??
  10. Hey Del, I was in your neck of the woods Saturday. Went to Sturgis and got rained on and lost. I started riding (I thought) towards home and seen a sign that said Henderson 20 Miles. I was going the wrong way......
  11. newchsmcam, If you get it, can you send it to me also? I still don't see the x2 add on folder.... [email protected] Thanx
  12. Kelly, I would like to try it also if you have time to send. [email protected] Thanx
  13. Hello Lou, Are you the guy on Muscle Car show on Spike network?
  14. I can help you out. email me [email protected] remove spam to email
  15. Iscar Feedmills work great. What you lose on d.o.c. you make up with feeds around 200ipm at .035 to .05 d.o.c. I cut H-13 mostly doing 3d surfacing and I use Iscar feedmills and Fraisa ONLY. When I came to MM&D we were making the same mold inserts and it was taking over 24 hours to cut one and I'm currently doing them in less than 7 hours. I see you're in Alabama, my Fraisa rep might be in the same district. I will gladly give you his name if you want to look at some Fraisa tools. www.fraisausa.com
  16. I had several last week too after I installed XP SP3.
  17. Thanks again John, I thought I would be the only poor soul working on Saturday
  18. Hey all, I have had this problem before when clicking on toolpath parameters and reloaded the machine def, but this time I can not even get the file to open. I've opened MCAM then go to "File/Open", I have double-clicked the file to open it that way and I done "Right click/open with" but it still throws the dreaded alarm and will not open so I can fix it. Does anybody know a workaround to get this crazy thing opened? Thanx
  19. This crazy thing is full of holes.....I am just going to contact the customer and tell them I cant work with this thing. Thanks to all
  20. Hello All, I am having a problem with a (customer supplied) solid. When I try to do a HST Core Roughing it fails and and when I analyze the solid it has 8 instances of "Self Intersecting Geometry". I looked thru the help file for "Heal" and the only thing I saw was "STL Heal" which is no help because I have not created an STL yet. Is there a way (in MasterCAM) to Heal my solid? Thanx
