  1. quote: TheePres Where did you get these guys holding up that part. They look like clones You are right! Three of them looked like had just come out same space ship and this piece looked like an outer space foundry casting part. It is amazing! [ 02-05-2003, 06:12 PM: Message edited by: David S ]
  2. Feb 1903. Count this 100 years old man. BTW-I do not think you can beat Jack's record. He is very creative. It doesn't mater you like him or hate him; he is the one who, making this forum alive.
  3. Hope there are enough 7 tons parts to feed those monster cnc mills. Can those monsters make profits? How much those parts cost? How long will take you finish one part? One thing is for sure that many things in TX are very big.
  4. We have a Chinese designer works here. He is excellent. We are going NY Chinatown celebrating the new year for him this Saturday (boss pays for it). Happy New Year, guys!!
  5. quote: Who, outside of the Raiders organization, knows them better? Chucky has to be in his (Gruden) glory right now !!!!
  6. quote: Mastercam Direct Mastercam Direct is a suite of Add-in DLL’s for popular CAD products like Solid Edge ®, SolidWorks ®, and Autodesk Inventor ™. These easy to install, and use, Add-ins act as a means to launch Mastercam directly from within each of these products, loading the current active part file into Mastercam so toolpaths can be produced. In the process of loading files directly into Mastercam, users can also import toolpath operations that exist in older revisions, or other parts, directly into the geometry. I can't explain better than MasterCam. BTW-Mastercam Direct would do the same thing as you did. I think Mr.Glenn Bouman's way might do the job. Have you tried it? Was it working? Please let us know. Hope this will help.
  7. We drew a logo in AutoCad and imported the geometry to MasterCam V9. Pocket toolpath was good; toolpath Verify was good; and NC file verify (with MetaCut View) was good . Come to CNC (bridgeport TC-1), it made a few unexpected circles out of pocket and cut into the part. Anybody could tell us what was going on? What should we do to fix it? Thank you in advance.
  8. Raiders and Jets game...Hope Raiders will not stop the game and have their sennior citisen record celebration at mid of the field like last time they did. Go Jets!!!
  9. I don't even have much time reading this forum now. It is unreal. [ 10-24-2002, 09:10 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
  10. I might win one of these awards. It is Definitely not "All around nice person award". It might be "Who Cares Award" Jack, you will win at least three of these awards. You will have my vote! [ 10-11-2002, 10:29 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
  11. DXF file format of CorelDraw available since version 5 (maybe earlier). quote: How do you obtain a DXF file from CorelDraw? Use SAVE in V9 and use EXPORT in early version. If I am right, DXF is the only format to export files from CorelDraw to Mastercam. DWG is option. [ 10-07-2002, 10:19 PM: Message edited by: David S ]
  12. quote: Ridgewood, Huh. DAts what Exit 11? mebbe 12? Yes, we "can do all of the above" and more. Look at our website. But,don't count us in. We are too busy. Too much work and too much OT. We need more designers and model makers. Sorry! [ 10-03-2002, 10:24 PM: Message edited by: David S ]
  13. You are right! The one on James head had just proved by FAA last week.
  14. Mold100, please read those posts carefully. As far as I understand that the argument they have over there is not only about ligitimate user or not. It is about if you are going to pay for the posts, if your boss let your dealer make money. I am pretty sure you will get a perfect working post for your machine second day morning if you leave massage or e-mail your dealer 10:30 pm and tell them you willing to pay $$$$. I might be wrong. I am still watching their show. I think both sides made a lot good points. [ 10-03-2002, 10:43 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
  15. quote: Could you please tell me what you are trying to achieve? let me repeat the last sentence . Could you please tell me what you are trying to achieve? quote: So I have to ask why did you go after him in your earler post? Scott, Now, I know why are you so upset. My point is "Solidworks solid is much better because it makes living with that (CAD) while MasterCam puts most its money on the machine cutting (CAM)."----People judge softwares should be fair . It is realy had nothing to do with you. If the way I used to bring out the point offended you, I sincerly apologize to you. I did not mean it. quote: Davids I am sorry to say that I have seen you attack him more then once and I feel for no reason. Jay, you may be right, but I can't recall any. Anyway, I looked at my old posts. Yes, I think I should change my style. I "attcked" Webmaster, Jay, James, Jack, Grag, Eric, thad ...might be Scott. I made a lot of enemies. Guys I am sorry! Trust me there was nothing personal. I am ready to take beating from you guys. Well, like many people said :" This forum is a big family". I should be warmer and sweeter! I will try. You will see Mr. Nice Guy. [ 10-02-2002, 07:08 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
  16. quote: Are you O.K. with the Avater thing? Are you still a Pirate? I am Scott Bond,,,Who the hell Are You? Well, well, well, Mr. Bond, don't act like a mad dog. Be civilized please. Please report me if you think I am a Pirate. I have e-mail and website under my name and my company name along with address and telephone #. You might get $100,000.00 award. I don't care who you are! Who am I is not your business. I am not your buddy and don't want to make friends with a "Saint". Do you want my simm # and my dealer's name? Ask webmaster. I will give to them (if I have to) not you, Mister nosy. Yes, we have different points of view. But it should not lead a personal attacking. Avater dose not give you right to slander other member who has a different opion with you. If you say is a joke, it is not funny!! You are very rude! Please don't do it again to anybody in this forum. It is not nice. [ 10-02-2002, 12:37 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
  17. Dear Mr. Bond, I don't know who told you that Solidworks will "drill holes" for you? Don't believe it, and don't count on it either. English government hire 007 was not for MasterCam programming; your boss hire you is not for being a super spy even though you both last name is Bond. Solidworks is for design and MasterCam Solid is for machine cutting even though they both name is Solid. Solidworks solid is much better because it makes living with that (CAD) while MasterCam puts most its money on the machine cutting (CAM). quote: together the MasterCam team will smoke all the other team's. What teams are you talking about? MasterCam is (not "will be") the #1 in its own league. Pro-e, UG, CATIA... are in the different league. And there will not have a "World Series". Sorry, there is no "one size fits all" software and never be one in this World. MasterCam will smoke all the other teams (CAD, CAM, CMM)??????? I don't know---.
  18. quote: I feel that for many times there is no need for the stuff like Solidworks now. I agree with you, and for many times there is no need for the stuff like solid either. In general, Solidworks is better by far.
  19. quote: Maybe Talk Master was just trying to help. The posting was short & to the point with no extra "Graphics" or "Words of Wisdom." Unless Talk Master makes a pest of himself, say by posting the same message over and over, I vote give him the benefit of the doubt. After this CMM TALK link post---, my RC Club friend, my Jehovah Witness friend, my Jewish friend, my Catholic friend, my pro-E forum friend and very helpful Martha Steward want to put a link post in this MasterCam forum. They said they could do it short & to the point with no extra "Graphics" or "Words of Wisdom." and promise would not "posting the same message over and over". Are they trying to help these "Machinists"?----YES (in many ways) Are those usefull informations?----YES (in many cases. Even MasterCam user's wife can use them) Are they trade related ------------YES (I pray every time when I screw up in my MasterCam programing. I convert pro-e files. I use MasterCam cut my RC models...) Should they solicit?----------May be (if they are civilized) quote: i think it is all good if you dont like it just skip on to the next topic some people it seems here could and do use his site its not like its not trade related How smart!! Webmaster, let's make this forum a "free Yahoo" to make every body happy! However, my cousins come my house have to make phone calls and push my door bell button. 20. Jay, thank you for covering me up! Bill, in your case, try to reinstall your MasterCam V8.1.1 and download and install latest SP for V8.1.1. Hope this will help.
  21. I don't think Change Start Point feature is available for the solid contour. You might get it in MasterCam V10.
  22. Mold100, This is a good news! Congratulations! Do you need 2nd job? We have an openning.
  23. Mark, It dose not bother me. Some people in this forum are watching and counting: quote: Now we'll really know who's legit. If we see a bunch of posts hanging at 199 or a bunch of folks with higher numbers and no avatar, we'll know..... He, he, he! When my number is up, I will give them "company name and SIM number to validate your status as a licensed user". I don't think I need any "96 x 96 pixel image". I don't care how other people look at me as long as I have a clean conscience. This is only my personal point of view. What do you trying to do next or if you are legit is really not my business. I have no right to tell other people what to do in this forum. I am one of you.
  24. quote: picture under your name ...and, telling and proofing whole MassterCam Users' World (forum members) that you are not a thief (you are a legal user).
  25. Now, you know that drinking and posting will not mix. I am glad you had a goooood lunch yesterday. PS. Where are that cool post and those funny comments? Did you remove them? [ 09-19-2002, 11:20 AM: Message edited by: David S ]
