  1. did you see the helix bore option.
  2. get the hand book and look up thermal expansion. a 16 inch piece of steel will change .001 inch with 10 degrees of temp change. i can hardly detect 10 degrees of change with my hand.
  3. i am sitting next to a swiss machine.
  4. can you slow down and use hss? carbide face mill can add a lot of stress. The boss is steaming if the machine aint screaming. Tell him to go sit on the fire hydrant.
  5. cut them on the end of bar stock and cut off.
  6. a reamer will take it all off one side, will not follow a hole like in steel. if the holes have to be good mill them close to size before reaming.
  7. look in mc helix bore toolpath help. it recomends a dapra, felix tool.
  8. for the problem with small memory on the dinosaurs i believe there is a way to feed it from the pc.
  9. remove spaces. every space is byte.
  10. i have only seen I with a J after it. I0. J-.325;
  11. Got x3 today and looked in help menu for helix bore. Mastercam says to use felix mills from Dapra corp. I looked at them and they start at .5 inch dia. Looks like smaller holes will be done with relieved end mills.
  12. We are interested in helix boring for bushing holes and dowel holes from 3mm to 50mm or so. Is there a place to buy "peckerhead" mills? I am afraid to look for them on internet because i may get my pp slapped for it. Is there another name for them or a company? I reread the post above and see you are making them, relieving them yourself.
