Has anyone tried to print to scale 100% in MR1?
I did a print test with MR1 and it is printing about .030" over sized in both X & Y. The test was a 7x10 rectangle. The same part in sp1 prints to size.

Greg,
We do thermoformed molds for in house running.
We get a part (with out prints) that the customer needs to put in a tray or clamshell. If the part is complicated we do a test fit in MDF before we machine the mold.
We do some prototype work with MDF.
Greg,
We run a simple test if we are worried about the fit of a part. We will rough one cavity in MDF. Then check if the part will fit if so we will machine the mold out of aluminum.

Can someone give me some advise on what cutter to use on 1020 steel? We do 6061 aluminum most of the time so are cutter for steelare slim.
We are cutting hole in plates 2" to 3" OD + or -.001 x 1.5 to 2.75 deep all hole are thru. With a Haas vf6 10,000 rpm 30hp WITHOUT thru the spindle coolant.
I was thinking about drilling 1.5" or 1.75" then milling to size.
What type of drill what type of end mill?
Thanks

I see why am having trouble with tool paths drill mask on arc you must hit the green button or enter but if you use entities or drill points the check button works.

I was looking forward to having more than one window open so I can work on similar jobs at the same time by cutting and pasting my tool paths and features to each window, this is how all my cad software works, all my other windows software works this way, I hate having to close and open files all the time.I was really disapointed about this basic Windows feature not being there. I agree 100%.

I have been using for about 3 months now and for the most part I like it.
They are some inconsistencies in the the way some thing work.
I find that I am moving the mouse all over the screen to get to Icons or the green or blue accept button and A LOT of mouse clicks.
I do not like the way you need to hit the green button or enter after selecting something to machine I think that if you hit the green check after selecting some thing it should machine it. I can not count the time that I have selected something then hit the check no tool path.
oops forgot to hit the green button or enter. Start over.
When doing surface tool paths on a solids you need to select the solid icon in the bar but not with surfaces that is extra moving and clicking to me.

I see the window off the screen.
The ops manager is flaky sometimes it takes 2 or 3 clicks to get something to take and the shift or ctrl click works about 1/4 of the time.
But there is some good things about X. I went back to 9 to check something and I was lost.
I got some GOOD NEWS From CNC today.
Steve
You’ll be happy to know, that it works O.K. in our 11/11/05 daily build, so when SP2 is released you should be good to go.

Terry,
No! Some of our parts has 1 program some will have 4 or 5 but all of them will have the same name as the geomerty with a prefix on it. Ex(1142-001 1142-001A)
