  1. Are you using peck drill? Mastercam back plot times are not accurate with drill cycles.
  2. I have worked on files over 330mb. How large of a file are you working on? When I'm working with large files I save a backup of the file.
  3. FBM Drill works okay for some of the work we do, but so did solid drill. I have not tried FBM Mill.
  4. Rob, Try looking a PH Horn tools. My book has internal Acme and metric trapezoidal thread milling cutters in it.
  5. I just want verify to run a large file without a fatal error occurred warning.
  6. Is this a 2D rest mill or is a surface toolpath? If surface is it a HST? If so what size is the part? Are you getting a warning or will MC just close?
  7. I have this problem with Pro-e Files. The regenerate display list fixes the probem or save and reopen it. Pete at CNC is working on this.

    FBM ?

We use FBM drill for some of our parts.
  9. I have the same problem with Pro-E Wildfire 4 prt files. Try using the Regrnerate Display List after you open the file. Is anyone having trouble with the solid from .stp or native Pro-E not translating when it is first opened in X4mu2?
  10. I am getting adjusted to tree layout, but I believe it could be improved. Some problems that have come up in the new layout that should be fixed in X4 are. 1.Contour tool path will not use the tools step over. Bug 00063632. 2.Helix bore feedrate at final depth is not working. Bug 00063636. 3.Not tree related X-form of solids from Pro-e not working without doing a Regenerate display list first. They worked in previous versions of X. I think that we should not loose functions in new versions we should gain. That is why we pay for maintenance. I know they are more bugs than this in X4.
  11. I don't know if Jarden Zinc in Greeneville TN can do what you need, but you can check them out at jardenzinc.com
  12. Is there a way to get the print layout to stay the way I set it in x4? When I print a part I set the orientation to landscape the next time I print the part it is back to portrait. Thanks!
  13. Jim, For regular surfacing toolpaths click on the total tolerance button.
  14. Go to settings, configuration, toolpaths, and uncheck repaint toolpath to keep them off. Hope this helps.
  15. Is the coolant high presure? I have had the high presure coolent brake small tools.
  16. Rick, Use x-form drag and slect multiple.
