I usually see this alarm with cutter comp (G41 or G42) where too much is entered for the toolpath to comp in or out..don't know if this is your problem though.
just got back from a 4 day break, hope everyone had a good one..looks as if they let it lapse as there is a "0 days left.." message on Mcam when booting up. Oh well, times are tough I guess, will try some of the suggestions above tho'
can appreciate that James, was just hoping maybe CNC software might be listening in and could help my case some..any hoo off for the weekend, 4 days to slave away on my place have a good one all
the war dept here is balking @ maintenance, due tommorrow..think there is much point in hoping the lathe product will get much attention? I know "don't hold my breath"..would hate to miss out on any new mill features either but hard trying to convince someone who doesn't use any of it..any pro/con arguments to help my case appreciated.
Dan, do not know if your umbella style recovery is like the dual arm fanuc 18i Fadal 4020 we have, but on ours it entails getting into your parameters and the hitting jog and X10 simultaneously for arm forward, jog+ X100 for arm backward. Parameter K30 bit 7 needs changed (after you turn off PWE ie. parameter write enable) in order for this to work..in your place I'd let the warantee guys do it, besides your fanuc oi-mc and the umbrella style is most likely a different deal...BTW thought Fadal was out of business.Be sure to get details on how to recover from this as we've had to do it numerous times. Good luck with it.
Thanks for pointing that out,Ionly used that to covert one of my machines work offsets cause it was in metric and we needed inches. odd that all else on the machine was inches but that one work offset screen. I always use 25.4 to convert inch to mm. .. mm x .03937007874015748 and about a dozen more #'s is the formula to go mm to inch and unless your mm #'s are really large, close enough, or, as said ,1/25.4, much simpler..

Ron,
Once again you display your ignorance. Technigrip’s patent is far more involved other than simply the broad use of a dovetail and if you understood how to read a patent that would be evident. It also amazes me how you confuse “your god given right” with law.
I could go on but having a logical debate with the illogical is exhausting.
rather rude of you Dave, insulting even..
Mostly aluminum here, using Blaser Swisslube blasocut 4000 strong, do not have rancidity issues as we did with two others we tried over the years, the 4000 Strong may be overkill as it is spendy but works very good.
Chris I could have sworn it was your tutorial that helped me set up this exact thing, something like "How to customize X4" among all the changes you recommended was changing linear color and arc colors and so on, your right it's really handy. Thanks
Don't forget to hook them up with the Home Learning Edition, the ones that spend their own time learning have the most potential IMO.They can access Streaming Teacher or eapprentice from any computer I think they all come with HLE.
anyone have experience with this tool?it's supposed to chamfer holes on both sides, once upon entering part and again on other side as it's retracted. offered in HSS and carbide.pro's con's?
