another thing if you havent already found it is the angle to make it come to the minimum feed rate....i typically myself set in to 75 degrees...and I also select the accelerate to smooth feed rates box
correct, the retract or lack of was a big problem...i dont know if it has been fixed...havent updated post yet for X5....I hope it has cause then it should come in handy
unfortunatly no....the simulation simulates the toolpaths from clearance, toolpath to retract then jumps to the next posistion...you could possibly put point toolpaths in to simulate what your post should do as for a retract value in between operations and tool changes...
its hard to say if you're doing anything wrong....not much to do wrong though...did you restart x5? besides that there is not much to say to help...should be able to hit the edit button
the only problem I have found so far is if I pick conventional, the entry might climb in then the cut goes to conventional, but if I change the helix to say from .3 to .25(can be any values) then it will conventional helix in then conventional cut...the main thing the only thing that was change was the helix radius...weird I think unless I am missing something
I am missing something with the tool assemblies? assigning tools with holders, etc....I have read manual but have no
idea what to do are how it works....
