You just need to match the tool numbers to the pocket numbers in the pocket table and set all the pockets to fixed, only take a couple of minutes you do not need to call DMG. Tool Table-Pocket Table-match the first two columns (tool # and pocket #) and then activate the fourth column (F) for each tool.
We're shutting down that week and I'm off to Mexico on the 30th for a week in the sun. But really, busy or not seeing out the year on X5 MU1 is not a big deal, going to X6 live on tour Dec 1st here in Oakville though. Always enjoy the sandwiches and little cakes and coffee
As far as rigidity goes I use the Lang vices to run parts that stand out 11" with tight tolerances, many parts we rough, stress relieve and reload locating by the teeth marks on the material (including those 11" parts).
We use lang vices 3"&5" with the quick point and bases, on all our five axis machines they are awsome. I made my own pedestals to raise them up and provide clearance. I also buy the pull studs seperately and make fixtures for second ops to fit the quick point bases so they can come on and off without breaking our set-ups.
