  1. quote: Like Iskander said, a real pro would compromise somebody's network, take what they want, then leave without a trace.
  2. quote: No chance ! How it will pass over firewall ?!? Those would be just some letters and numbers and when you install MC software you do trust the source... As I said , just a suggestion because every cracked copy of MC is paid for by fellow legit MC users like you and I... quote: This are computer gangsters and they will be catched fast enough . Took him a year to break up one group and only because they got just a bit too bold Some go as far as scanning atm from a nearby car when a customer is using a card to withdraw a cash, then they make a card like that and clean an account clean Kind regards, Mark
  3. My best High School buddy is a top notch programmer for banking services in Poland. Some of the stories he told me when we got together couple of years ago are mind blowing. This is pretty much organized crime in this part of the world (majority from Russia). He calls it an ongoing war with them. They even demand ransom for protection from legit corporations and if not delivered they ruin their networks for days and weeks costing companies fortunes. Here is a little sugestion for CNC Software. There is no way in hell that you are going to prevent illegitimate copies of MC from being distributed , but how about serializing each installatin cd with some innocent looking code spread in several different files? What it will do is let you know where the original copy came from... Just a suggestion Kind regards, Mark
  4. quote: True, but give Bullines a shot at them anyway! Those guys are mostly pretty good hackers themself too. If they figure out who is messing with them they may come back and mess up this site as well. From what I know Eastern Europe has professional hackers "for hire" The best way is to quote: forward it to the BSA for takedown. as Brian suggested. Kind regards, Mark
  5. quote: I have never seen one that would monitor load and replace the tool after the load increased to a set point. I'm just going thru some manuals for our new Mori and it seems like it does exactly that. Haven't played with it yet but looks very handy. It has a teaching mode, you program how much % above normal load you are willing to let it go and so on... Mark
  6. quote: What I have is not working.... I'm now mostly mill guy here but when in doubt I told our lathe guys to use long hand code. Works every time, especially when mastercam does the code... Kind regards, Mark
  7. quote: By Sept 2006 we will be running X2 which is going to be VERY VERY COOL [smile] Is it some kind of a car or truck? Mark
  8. quote: I thought in pludge milling you needed to plunge move slightly away from the vertical wall just cut and rapid out There is no need for this David. Now there is two basic geometries of plungers. One like carboloy have a negative angle on the insert so when you go in it deflects tool from the wall and on retract will rub against this wall quite a bit. The other kind is iscar which have positive angle on the insert which will greatly prevent deflection when going in but there still will be a little "rubbing" on retract. In either case rubbing will not hurt the tool and is normal but you might not like the finish it leaves quote: I have never used MC's plunge Tollpath Neither did I It's prolly the only thing I don't like in MC. I always create geo, divide it every certain distance, create points and use drill toolpath. In your app I'd consider boring. Kind regards, Mark
  9. Aaron, it's a mits cutter BOER4R1503 (roughing cutter) that you fit with cbn inserts (pricey...). SFM is 1000 at 60hrc and .003+ ipt. (.01+/- cuts only) Rick from Tandem will know exactly. Kind regards, Mark
  10. Hi Aaron. For face milling try Mits cutter with cbn inserts. Did 62 HRC tool steel with it and it finished about 900 passes of 7" lenght with no tool wear . I got it from Tandem. Let me know if you need their phone #. Kind regards, Mark
  11. Hi Jason. You kind of answered your question here. Since your experience with mastercam is twice that of edgecam the choice is obvious Stick with it and the ride is going to get better with MC X about to be released Kind regards, Mark
  12. I'd still opt for parameter change, that way the rapids a MUCH slower with the door open. With 2000 ipm there is not much time to react if things go wrong quote: too bad most of our stuuf is one or two parts ! Same here!!! Mark
  13. quote: unbolt the "key" that fits into the safety mechanism You'll need a special little wrench to accomplish this, but I'd leave it alone. You only need the door open during first part run and so on, so parameter change (if possible) should do the trick. Another thing to consider is to make a copy of the "key" that will fit into interlock and use it responsibly (take with you when you are done...) They don't call it "safety" interlock for nothing... Mark
  14. I'm not sure if you can...but there should be a parameter setting that will allow you to run it with the door open but at about 25% rapid... At least that's the case with Mori Mark
  15. quote: Maybe next trip..... Sounds good I'm a short distance from Castle Rock ( Highlands Ranch...) Mark
  16. quote: I'm driving out there today to pick up more stuff from my old house to bring out here. Are you going to stay long? Care for a drink? I'll propably be gone until tuesday but if you are staying for the week... Mark
  17. quote: Could be that you missing "*feed" in your drill cycles. Here is an example from mpfan post: ppeck #Canned Peck Drill Cycle pdrlcommonb pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrill, *sgdrlref, pfxout, pfyout, pfzout, pcout, prdrlout, *peck1, *feed, strcantext, e pcom_movea Just put *feed in all your drill cycles and it should work
  18. Go to windows explorer and open ARW,B,MIL.PST file in any text editor. Make any necessary changes and save it. Always back it up first in case you make bad edits... Try to post a toolpath with it on mastercam and see what those changes did Mark
  19. I don't think his brother liked him either Mark
  20. BTW welcome to the forum... quote: Also, how do I quote a post so I don't have to write, "To (your name here)" anymore? Right under a massage window there is "QUOTE" button... quote: Yes, I typed the feed into mastercam, but it posted without it. Look in your .pst file and see if there is *feed in your drill cycles, if not then simply add it. Let us know if that fixes it, it could be something else then... Kind regards, Mark
  21. quote: So CMS is finally done for? If you mean Computerized then yes it is... Lots of Moris there... The owner wasn't liked very much around here ... Mark
  22. Do you mean that you type in feedrate in mastercam but it posts without it? Could be that you missing "*feed" in your drill cycles. Here is an example from mpfan post: ppeck #Canned Peck Drill Cycle pdrlcommonb pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrill, *sgdrlref, pfxout, pfyout, pfzout, pcout, prdrlout, *peck1, *feed, strcantext, e pcom_movea Just put *feed in all your drill cycles and it should work Mark
  23. quote: I bought a new NV5000 APC Nice, very nice... Mark
  24. BTW, if you need any of them checked out by a pro (ball bar and so on...) I can put you in touch with a local Mori guy who did installations and service on all of them. Mark
  25. Not sure about time, but if you need details contact Psychomill, if my memory serves right he used to run most of them when he worked for this company. You can get first hand opinion about them this way. I don't think You can beat that... Kind regards, Mark
