  1. Haa haa haa .... OOOOPS! Thanx again, Roger
  2. Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit MasterCam X7 rc1?/Mu0? not sure what to call it- but NOT MU1 Visual Studio 2010 Pro SP1 Novice to C++ Trying to stumble through setting my first CHook up to run in debug mode. in my project Debugging properties, my "Command" is set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx7\sdk\DEBUG\Mastercam.exe", which is the install dir of the SDK. (BTW, tried changing this during install to %MCXINSTALLDIR% but it installed here anyway) "Command Arguments" [blank] "Working Directory" = "C:\Program Files\mcamx7\" //(%MCXINSTALLDIR%) "Attach" No "Debugger Type" Auto "Environment" [blank] "Merge Environment" Yes Env-Var "SDK_X7" =C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx7\SDK (And I feel like I know SOMETHING if I don't include the 'SQL Debugging' param) When run from the IDE, i get the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application" Tried making a desktop shortcut; Target="C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx7\SDK\debug\Mastercam.exe" Start In: "C:\Program Files\mcamx7" When I launch this shortcut I get the same error as launching from the IDE When I directly click on : "C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx7\sdk\DEBUG\Mastercam.exe", I get the error "The program can't start because IFStitch.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." "ifstitch.dll" is located in my MasterCam Install Dir, but not my SDK dir. When I copied "ifstitch.dll" to my /SDK/Debug dir, I got the same error as when run from the IDE. I'm not a teenager anymore, and don't have much hair left to pull out. Please let me continue to use a comb, and point me to what I've missed ? Thank you so much :/
  3. Ok, another, related question. If multiple Operations are selected, and in these multiple operations are multiple NCI file names, my program is called multiple times, once for each of the NCI file names. This behavior mimics the post processor, where operations that share a common NCI name are selected out from the original user selection, and the process repeats for each possible Nc/Nci. So, for each time my application is called, i can do a ".GetOperations(true)" .... but I was wondering if there is some way to access that list of NCI names? Somewhere, up front, all the operations have already been parsed, sorted, so that Mastercam already KNOWS how many times to call my setup sheet. What Im trying to do, is pop up a list of the (.Nc/.Nci) names... so rather than wait a bit while GetOperations returns an array of Operations, only to discover one of the Ops selected hasnt been named the same as it's neighbors, to rather instantly show just the list of NCI names, and let the user either abort/rename the offending operation, or to even include the misnamed operation with its neighbors.
  4. Check your 'other' groups, in the Group manager. (Click the 'Groups' button on the lower right of the Mcx Window)
  5. Just checked it out myself. The verify is more well behaved for me (all 3 axis is fine) but any 5 axis/ 3*2 axis legacy files still complain. Gotta check out some new files on the 5 axis
  6. you want me to download an .exe to look at an image file?
  7. ++ above ... if the entities were all drawn in paperspace, the default Mcx setting is to blank paperspace
  8. Its not a bug, its a setting. And if your settings are wrong, it will reproduce back several versions of MasterCam.
  9. Mcx7, windows 7, 32 bit/64 bit I'm trying to get a list of NCI names to the user, on a form. I am currently using GetOperations() to parse all available Ops, in all Machine Groups. This works great, especially if there are many NCI names, and few Ops; but in the cases where there are many ops, and possibly only one NCI name, the user may have to wait several minutes to tell him what he already knows - there there is only one in this file. So my question is, is there a way to speed up this process? Another .Net API call, or possibly some way I hadn't even considered ?
  10. My Box has Intel I7 (8 core), 4 Gigs ram, NVidia Quadro card, and I have yet to run verify on it without a crash. For the heck of it, I installed it on an old EMachines box (haa haa) and it runs sloooooow, but no crashes. :/
  11. We are on maintenance. But verify is unusable to me. Maybe when MU1 comes out ....
  12. Im starting to get the same strange error messages - UVBS.dll not found, etc....
  13. works like a charm! thanx, guys!
  14. hmmmm ... I wonder if this can be done for VbScript, as well? The new editor doesnt give you access to the vbscript help file
  15. But I dont see the wisdom. Windows is a document based system, and document types are, for the most part, determined by file extension. Try making a file without an extension. Now try "Open with ..."
  16. I think it would be nice if I could just get it to RUN
  17. I asked a few really 'geeky' developer-type questions, and I immediately recieved in-depth answers.
  18. FWIW, I would be very interested in being able to store text, and even MORE interested in being able to read text, back out. see This Thread
