I have done 4 impellers and fought everyone, when I looked into blade expert I was floored they want like ****. Fcken crazy. I will battle every impeller I get.
How do I do this? I sometimes delete a piece of geometry used to create the model, then my model becomes dirty. This sucks if there is a way around it I would sure like to know.
Did you indicate the drill for runout? What rpm and peck are you using? Maybe slow the rpm down. It's hard to say when we don't know the parameters your using or tool.
I have had the same issues with selecting from a solid model. This has been a problem for some time. Just like all the other bugs this one will probably never get fixed.
I have my tool settings to assign tool numbers sequentially, but when I grab a tool from the library it only changes the tool number. It leaves the dia offset and the length offset at 0. I hope there is a way because this just seems lame that I should have to change this every time.
I wouldn't count on it. There sure are alot of bugs and now x6. Maybe they should fix the problems before adding more stuff. I'm having a hard time dealing with this software.
This is my first time threadmilling in mastercam. I have a form tool for this special thread. It's a .200 pitch thread right hand thread and the major dia is 6.448 dia. The tool is cutting to small of a dia. If I change compensation type to off, then it cuts to large of a dia. I need to use cutter comp. Also, after I set the major thread dia it is greyed out. I don't know how to make it active.

We have a Integrex E420. I have it set up as a lathe. We have a custom post from in house solutions. The post is clean. The only issue is to tranfer from the left spindle to the right. I have a transfer program that works, and I just add to the program and modify as needed. This is one bad xxx machine.
You have to draw the holder in blue and the insert in orange. I have had some beers, however I Just right click a tool in the library that is similar and save geometry to level, then just modify. This will give you a good example of what you need to replicate. Dang I guess I had more than I thought. Cheers
Thanks dude. I have been using mastercam for 10 months now. I guess Impellers are a bit challenging, however there are guys on this forum who seem to have an answer for everything. Almost! I'm done with my rant. It's beer thirty.
Yes. I don't want to seem like to much of a pie, but when 20 people reply on how to tap a hole and 500 people look at my post and nothing. Kinda feel the love.
Thanks for looking Jeremy. I got it figured out. I felt the love from everyone else who seems to have an answer for everything. Apparently this isn't the place to post a file. I will make sure I don't do it again.
