I intalled on xp computer. It is in german. I then took the lang.dll file and put in the chook folder. When I try to run the dll file it says file format unknown. Any help? I pretty new to mastercam
I had the same problem. I use cimco editor. If I open cimco editor and in the pulldown transmission, receive it works fine. The communications within mastercam did not work. Only to send.
I have the same problem. Very frustrating. Also, some multiaxis toolpaths won't even let you remove the selected drive surfaces. I have to delete the toolpath and start over. It would be nice if they could fix all of the bugs before they add new stuff.
I only had one operation. I will add another and try. In the past I remember all of them changing, however you must change the very first op that uses the tool and it will tell you to update all ops that use that tool or some bs.
Thanks. I pretty much got it, mc that is. I have been using for 10 months now doing lathe, mill 3,4 and 5-axis. I use to talk with dyslkee on the gibbs forum. He probably has the same questions I had. I was just going to offer him some help. Coming from gibbs we could really relate on the differences.
Thanks colin. I didn't think to un-trim. I don't want to use an add-on. I have an interview on tuesday for a 5-axis programmer and they probably don't use the add on. They want me to take a test, and I'm good with that. I will try the un-trim on monday morning.

Does anyone know how to build a plane for each hole in this part. The only way I can do it is to run the fmb drill. This will create a plane for each hole. I only need to drill 2 of the holes and I would like to know how to do this in mastercam. If I create a curve on the top of the hole and the bottom they are splines, therefore there is no center point two draw a line between the two. I'm stuck here, but there has to be a way other than fbm drill
Hey dylskee. Yes I made the switch to. I'm with you 100% on the graphics and yes it is a bit glitchy. Make sure when you use the wcs and change it to bottom, left ect.... in your toolpath you have the same plane selected. I just did a 5-axis impeller and everything showed up great in the verify and in the backplot, but when I ran the part the tool clipped every blade with a rapped move out. The guys at mastercam said the verify doesn't keep track of rapid moves. I had the blades set as check surfaces, but the tool hit them anyway. I just made the check surface +.040 and the tool still clipped the blades, but there was still enough stock to cleanup. No one had an anser to why. In gibbs I relied on the verify 100% What you saw was what you got. Something to remember when using verify.
