  1. rekd, Them are snakes Them are not O' yes they are See them itty bitty eyes ? Them are snakes
  2. Katie, give trevor a kitten for a welcome present!
  3. That's what I did too. (I actually followed directions for once)
  4. K....Thanks 2 flute. BTW, That must be a record response time. I barely got my hands off the keyboard. Thanks again.
  5. I am a little behind the times, but I finally installed the service pack for 9.1 today. Should it read Mastercam Mill Version 9.1 SP1 at the top of my MC window? Or does it still read Mastercam Mill Version 9.1?
  6. I have 5 tattoos.....no piercings. Used to wear earing with my parachute pants at the skating rink!
  7. The piercings, tattoos, and whatever else they do, I can handle. What I can't handle is the 6 times too big and too long pants that they wear with their boxers hanging out!
  8. I'd like to see an "only" option under Modify and Offset. [ 07-22-2003, 02:27 PM: Message edited by: jammer ]
  9. Trev, Christian had it right. I was talking about the three boxes on surface finish contour "shallow", "flats", and "helix". Thanks guys!
  10. Accuracy, feed, cutting speed, block rate, and chip generation.....All related to HSM.
  11. On a surface finish contour toolpath, there is a "flats" button under the finish contour parameters tab. I have used this feature often, and I have used 2d and 3d. I haven't noticed a difference in the way it cuts though. Maybe it's just the geometry that hasn't allowed me to see a difference yet. What is the difference? Thanks
  12. Good luck Trevor, Barefoot is my reseller, and I get up to Morganton for the seminars from time to time. So I'll probably be seeing ya. Don't let Jimmy and Sam fool ya, Katie is the backbone of that operation. If your into softball, I may be able to hook you up with some teams in NC.
  13. Cool....Thanks for the help guys!
  14. Thanks heavy metal, All our controls are newer. If it did stop for a tool change, will it be like "opt stop", where you would hit start again, or will it just keep on cutting until next tool? I am trying to figure out what the function or benefit of this feature is.
  15. In the change nci dialog box: the check box for "force tool change" says: Forces a tool change when the same tool number is posted in consecutive operations. Out puts a TC prefix in the posted toolpath. Will this just act as a tool change without actually changing tools? For measuring/checking your part before the next operation is run?
  16. Kathy, although I would like to take credit for providing you with help, but it was "jamman" that provided the link for ya.
  17. Cool.....Welcome to the Forum John!
  18. Mine works!!! [ 07-17-2003, 11:45 AM: Message edited by: jammer ]
  19. Don't know if this has been metioned yet, but the help files are really great in MC.
  20. Roll diameter is the diameter of the wire used to measure the gear. Go to your help index, click on Gear C-Hook, then click on gear parameters, each parameter is defined for you by clicking on it. [ 07-17-2003, 10:06 AM: Message edited by: jammer ]
  21. I'm not sure yet Jimmy, still waiting on word from "the man". Should know something today! I think it would be a good seminar.
  22. Same as Toolfab....2000 pro, no problems!
  23. Thanks Keith, We are mostly drilling this stuff, which we have thru-the-spindle coolant fed drills (titex). They seem to work pretty good. All the cutting is gonna be smaller stuff 1/2 dia. and smaller. (Too small for insert cutters) The info I can find on this stuff says 100-200 sfm. 46-48rc I think. We use Duramills and regular carbide. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks
