I haven't tried ref points but on a 4th axis this could be very beneficial, if it isn't too much of a hassle to set it up...
I have it outputting a G91 G28 Z0, Then index and G43 again. This way I don't rotate with the tools too close to the part.
I recently started using the MPmaster post with 4th axis on a vertical, and it will put out A's when I have a rotation and no A's if there isn't rotation...
I really like the post so far !
Way better than the old one.
This method works for me. Most machines won't turn on if the lead in is an arc while turning comp on.
start angle = 90
entry/exit arc sweep = 90
start at center = checked
perpendicular entry = checked
I have the Productivity Plus revision in the MPmaster that I am using, and the "force_tlchg" line is exactly like you have recommended, but I am still having this issue...
We are not using probes here.
Any other possibilities ??
thanks
I switched back to the "old" post and it worked as well, BUT the 4th axis rotations were not...
I also like some of the bells and whistles in the MP post...
I am thinking I screwed something up in the post when tweeking it.
Did this get resolved ?
I have the same situation and would also like to have A90 and A-90 instead of A270...
MPmaster Post
X8
thanks for any help !
EDIT:
If I put in an A0 operation IN BETWEEN the A90 and A-90 operations I will get what I want...
At this point not sure if the 4th axis will swing down into the table when going from 90 to -90(270)
