  1. No problem, just drop this code at the end of ptoolend and ptlchg1002. you may need to move some code from psof to header. all it needs to work is for the program #s to be larger then the previous one. same #s will be the same program. No messing with ncis at all. Test it. test it. test it. I have not tested it on a five axis so I have no idea what will happen. but it works great on 3 and 4 axis. ----------------------------------- if progno > prv_progno, [ peof, pheader, ] ----------------------------------- works fine for me Ive been using it about 2months now with out any problems.
  2. Rekd, did you ever get your code to post like this. I have this working in a ver 9 post. if this is what you where looking for. Its great for loading all the programs at once. % O0002 (ECC BUSHINGF) G20G90G17G0G40G49G80 G0G54X-.6127Y-.3047S815M3 Z.1M8 G1Z-.266F12. 3. Its most kind of you guys to save this for REKD. See we can all get along. While were at it, how about a good and free post may we show you something in a 5 axis purhaps.
  4. I think all of you are taking extreme views. My wife is half Cherokee her mother was born on the reservation, in N.C. and we were married ther. so I have seen the resevation close up not just driving though. So for those of you who want to try and understand, what this country did a hundred years ago, was almost destroy an entire culture, not a European culture, a tribal culture so unless your Indian you wouldnt have a clue. and there are alot of Indians who do not live on the reservation. pay ther taxes and have jobs just like everyone else. And the casinos are a tribal business, "note I said business" just like any business it is run for profit. and although all in the tribe benefit. they are by no means rich, or liven large. So I think your all a little ignorant of the facts. and BTW my Wife and daughters have not used any of so called Indian programs because in my Wife's eyes those are for the people who need assistence. To coin a phrase "OUT"
  5. MayDay In your additional output setting section, add the line "cc_1013 : 1" this will read the comp. and make your argument work. I just did this for my MPFAN and it worked fine.
  6. Im sure you guys checked this first nobrk : yes #Omit breakup of x, y & z rapid moves just in case.
  7. Click on misc. values in the tool parameters page the first value is the work coordinate system. try 0 or 1.
  8. These would be the same operaters that would drop loads in there pants if you rapid to the part face at 1100ipm. inless they have to type it in manually, tellem deal with it.
  9. Chris, I believe your correct, on newer controls. It doesnt matter. On some older controls you must use leading. Ive been programming for 25 years and just always used leading. So for me it looks odd if I dont see those zeros. and in his post cncguy showed leading zeros. I hope this helps him.
  10. Look at your format declarations use the number from the "Integer, force four leading". for P and Q that should be 7 on the fanuc posts thats what I had to do.
  11. The answer to your ? is yes. By changing the switchs in the post all 3 O-t model controls that I know of are supported. does your code need to look like this. G50S3000 G0T0303 G96S500M3 G0X1.52Z0.1M8 or does it require a G54, or you have a 6 style what the post calls old style. I use MPL_GEN. with the proper switches set you shouldnt have to edit any thing. let us know what you need or we cannt help you.
  12. +1 Marc, +1 Chris If you dont need any extras mpl_gen is the cleanist to start with. but I found it still needs a little tweaking to do what I want it to. Chris is right I spend most of my time editing stripping out what I dont need. I think youll find the posts in mastercam to be a strong point when you get into it a little more.
  13. May^day Yes we have the same reseller and its the same reseller as the last shop I worked at. I dont have any issues with them or any other reseller. My statement was because after a year to get the boss to approve the purchase. that was what I got. 2 days of editing posts on the fly to get the jobs out while the boss layed into me for buying the software. now I have a differant shop, differant boss still mastercam,no problem. Peter, If you took my statement the wrong way. theres nothing I can do. I merely stated what happened. Im not slamming resellers or installers as a whole, just stating what 1 installer did maybe only 1 time. no one apologized to me. I cant even say who installed that software he was gone before I got back in the office. Must of been just my bad luck.
  14. I didnt mean for it to sound like all resellers maybe its just the people they send out. But I know first hand from the last shop I worked at. the guy came in put on a hasp loaded the software, told my boss one of the posts loaded should work. took his check and was gone. 20 min. tops. Maybe you could pass on your way of thinking to your fellow resellers.
  15. Chris what if you add an if or else statment in pdrlcommonb that should put the code where you need it.
  16. Did anyone ever think if the resellers looked into the posts when they sold the software. the only people asking for posts would be pirates or people getting new machines. maybe the resellers should take care of this from the start. rather than loading the software and heading for the door. thats just my opinion
  17. Thats some scary code. Have you tried Roger Martin, [email protected] I think if anyone would know it would be him. hope he can help.
  18. Its not just the elderly or teenagers. Driving home thursday I passed a woman in her thirtys, reading a book, talking on a cellphone, smoking a cigarette, driving 60 in the center lane of I96. I see at least 3 accidents a week ether to or from work. I wonder why? I guess I'm glad she didnt have a tv.
  19. STEVEOL I just finished editing that exact post. it works perfectly. if you have problems with yours have your reseller contact me or you can start editing. but dont bitch about money everyone here has heard it way to much.
  20. That was the first thing I checked. The problem seems to be in the logic. it ether errors or doesnt select the proper cycle Thanks
  21. Hello, Is any one using the V9.1 MPL_Gen or mplfan lathe posts with canned cycles g83,g84. I figured Id update my posts since I have some time and my backups of my old posts are gone. I noticed the new posts are a little diffrent. No big deal, I have it doing exactly what I want exept for the drill cycles, they dont work. and I dont see a problem with the logic. if gcode = 81, [ if drillcyc = three, drlgsel = fsg1 (-g_speed) + drillcyc * two #Tap else, drlgsel = fsg2 (dwell) + drillcyc * two if initht <> refht, drillref = zero else, drillref = one prv_refht_a = c9k prv_refht_i = c9k ] If I change the variables I end up with a string = 17 or string = -1 error. so it always outputs G81 this should be an easy fix. but I just cant see it. thanks in advance for any help.
  22. +1 to harryman If I remember correctly the OM has 1 register 4 you can use it for length or dia. but not both. crash waiting to happen.
  23. Lars I would run a 1/2-5 flute, 300 sfm, .008 fpt .05 doc, thats 2300rpm, 92ipm. depending on horsepower you may need to take less doc. the key is to get the chips out of the slot. if you start recuting chips the cutter is gone. hope this helps I hate people standing over my shoulder.
  24. Lars, I had some cheap 1/4-20 taps TIALN coated. As a referance they out lasted blue diamond. 15 to 1. in cpm 15V. so I would say coating does improve tool life.
