We have had several of these with the same problem. What happens is inside there are some foam padded rollers that the ball rolls on. These foam rollers wear over time to the point that the ball does not make good contact with them. Our service guy repaired one for us a while back by cutting up some foam that he had and replacing them. It wasn't as pretty as the original foam, but it worked. You might open yours up and see if you can find some foam that might work.
Does anyone know if there is a way to create a video of a part running in verify. I can see this being helpful sometimes if it could be done and some how included with the setup documentation. We run 2 shifts here now and it seems like sometimes our operators and setup people would find it useful to at least see what the programmers are telling the machines to do.
I copied the code from you first response at the top of this thread.

John, I added these lines to 3 of my posts and it all worked out great. I get code or comment as selected inthe manual entry dialog box. I added this to my Haas 5 axis post, but can only get it to output comments. Is there something else I need to do for this post to output code as well as comments?
Tried a search and could not find an aswer to this. In the ops manager under files, tool settings, there is a check box assign tool numbers sequentially. This box always defaults to being checked. I have a standard tool load in a couple of machines so I would prefer in this machine definition that this box default to being unchecked when I bring in this machine definition. I have looked for the last few days and have not found a way to change this default setting. Is there a way to change this in this machine definition only?
I have come across a used Haas 93' VM0. 7500 rpm direct drive spindle which is 4th axis ready for about $15,000. Any thoughts on this. This is going in my small shop in my garage. I know the shop and this machine has been well cared for.
I received an email from someone about the Fanuc robodrill. Not to bad for the price . There really are too many choices out there. Lots of competitive prices.
Thanks for the compliments guys. Working a regular programming job for a small aerospace shop and then go home and work makes for long day sometimes. This machine would greatly increase my capacity and productivity over my present Hurco KMB1 knee mill with a manual toolchanger. Plus eliminate a lot of the mess on the floor.
Anyone out there using a Haas Mini Mill. If so, what are your opinions of it. I have a small business that I run in my spare time making parts for RC cars that is starting to kind of take off and am looking to replace my ageing Hurco KMB1 with something a little more productive.
Is there a way to import an entire tool library from Ver 9 to X, or do I need to basiclly start from scatch? I searched the forum but could not find anything on this.
Company just bought 2 new Dell workstations for Mastercam.

ATI Fire GL V3100, 128MB, dual VGA or single DVI/VGA Graphic Card
Is this video card going to work well with Mastercam 9 & X?
We hava couple ogright angle heads from Lyndex that are running in one of our Fadals right now. They are milling a .730 dia on the ends of some tubes that we rub 8 at a time. The work fine for very light cuts. Try this link:
