I think you will find it is a wear problem with this option. If the tool will not fit into a corner, it will drive through the wall and reposition itself to start the next line in a tangential position.We scrapped quite a few jobs with this option, so went back to tool comp then all was well.

Hi guys and girlys So far I have managed to get nearly all the problems with mastercam simulator sorted, but now comes a biggy. Whenever I set the simulator up to use stock, it will crash. Does not matter what stock option I use, always crash. Anyone else getting this.

Ive just looked at my NCI data, and its not quite the same as the posted code. The NCI code is tilting the table in A- but the posted code is coming out A+. I think this is where my problem lies.

Thank wizzard, that sorted part of the problem out. The table is flipping over to A- but the part is still in the right direction. I'll have another try next month, no time at the mo. Thanks.

Just playing with the simulator, everything looks good, but the X axis travels in the wrong direction. Is this simple to change, somewhere in the machine simulator? The program says an X plus value but the simulator travels in minus. Thank for any help.

Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to set and use active reports. I think this has been tackled before, but I can not find relevant results using search. Maybe it was on the old forum. All help appreciated. Thanks

What Mazak machine is it? What controller is it ? Look up sister tooling, this is what you are talking about, but it will only change the tool after the programmed sequence is finished, and the time has passed its set limit. P.S Caps Lock is regarded as shouting.

I can not see any compensation in your program, check if you have that set in your toolpath. G40 G41 or G42

Update I have found that if you download the Ai Utilitys chook for X4, then extract the drag and drop "ft" and "dll" to your X5 chook directory, the drag and drop function will now work in X5. Hope this helps all the others that use this facility. Absolutely Brilliant.

Hi guys, is there a tutorial for peel mill anywhere? I have tried to use this toolpath but never got it to work. I have a keyway to cut, 8mm width and 30mm long cutter diameter 4 mm so I think this should work. I keep getting an alarm about the tool being to large for the slot. Anyone able to point me in the right direction. This is a path we would like to use in the future. Thanks

I think you will find this is a post problem. Your post is not made for 5 axis machining. Sorry cant be of anymore help.

#3012 Read current time in Hours/Minutes/Seconds - ie: 3:56pm & 25sec = 155625 #3901 Number of Machined Parts (completion number) #3902 Number of Required Parts (target number) These parameters might help, you will have to do the logic part yourself. Hope this helps. #500 = #3012 this will give you a time variable to use.

Trying out X5 Simulation. Our machine model is now finished, and looks and works fine, until we try to use Raw material from Mastercam file. It just crashes out completely, no warning. Anyone else has this happen to them.

If you do a forum search there is an answer to this problem. It was a long time ago that I had this same problem. It is something to do with where the file is saved. Sorry I cant be of anymore help.

I vaguely remember reading something along those lines, which is a shame, as the function I use the most is part of that Chook. Drag and Drop feature. Thanks
