  2. Am having a little problem with levels, I cured it once, but somebody here has fiddled with my config file. Mcamx-6 I turn off severall levels for the purpose of beter visiablility, then close mcam. When I reopen the file all levels have their visiability set to active. What do i have to change in config. I have searched the forums but cant find the answer anymore. Thanks for your help..
  3. Wlecome to the forum, but please change your fonts. Makes it difficult to read. Look for this section in your post and change "fs 1 1.4" to "fs 1 1.3" and "fs 2 1.4ld" to "fs 2 1 1.3ld" # ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ # Format Statements - i=incr, n=nonmodal, l=leave ldg, t=leave trlg, d=delta # ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ fs 1 1.4 fs 2 1.4ld fs 3 4 0 fs 4 2 0n fs 5 3.1t fs 6 3 0ln fs 7 3 0n fs 8 0.4li fs 9 0.4ln fs 10 1 0 fs 11 1.2 # ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ Hope that helps
  4. In verify move the display controll slider to the right (quality ).
  5. right click chain selection, then it will only select full chains
  6. Just change your config to inches, and it will convert all metric to inches for you. Its undfer settings, system config then at the bottom choose the Inch settings.
  7. Point to point here aswell, accept in 2d cutting. The machine works out all the dynamics. I keep the filtering turn off with all paths. Gives the best result on ours...
  8. Hi this is a util I could realy use but it is not working in X5mu1 gsdgirl seams to have got it to work in backplot but not verify. It doesn't work in either for me. Would apreciate all input. Thank you
  9. The files (VBS) are on the FTP server in the VBscripts folder. There is also an excel CSV file for you to edit to your likeing. Your target details ( Masteracm desktop icon) should look like this "C:\Program Files\mcamx5\Mastercam.exe" "C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared mcamx5\vb\csv2levels.vbs" you will have to open this vbs in mastercam with the vb editer, and possible have to write where you have saved the CSV file. If you have any problems feel free to leave me a message.
  10. There is also a VB script around csv2level.vbs, that will read a csv file on startup, and load all your level names for you. You just nead to write a CSV file with your level numbers and names in them..
  11. We are just thinking of investing in 2 seats of lathe. We have 5 seats of mill X5 so we are familiar with mcam. Have downloaded the mplmaster post. Our lathe has its turret at the front and I would like to program mastercam the same way. That means that when you program a conture it is drawn in the lower left segment, but the post must output Diameters as positive. Is this possible with a post edit, or machine def. Thank you...
  12. Nils N I have also just started getting this problem. Our config file is set as write protect after I adjust the data paths, but it still overwrites my file paths if I adjust any settings in config. What we did was to open the config file in a text editer and set the path inthe config. Then delete the original config file, and save the edited config file. Also write protect the file again, uptil today the file has not changed. Can't work out why, but so far so good.
  13. This thread should sort you out with what you are after. http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?showtopic=11539&st=0 Hope it helps.

Any rumours or ideas when it migh tbe released. We paid our maintanance every year and the boss says it should be due soon, according to his reconing. Is it due spring, or august
  15. Would wireframe toolpath do this, try revolved 2d wireframe toolpath.
  16. Yes, we do here. It's easier to find all geo and solids. A level for the solids and the solids geo, several other levels like text and dimensions. Looks a lot tidyer when trying to correct a model.
  17. We normal go 55% length and 65% radial lead in. We also use the angle setting but these are different depending on control type. Heidenhain has to have 70deg and tangential start, all the others have 30deg and perpendicular.
  18. Coming from over the see, to most of you mastercammers, we have a different approach and only use control or computer for comp. All the firms I have worked for here have a tooling department, who programm the length and diameter of the tools and the tools are put on a cart and given to the setter to load into the machine. The data for the tools and the programs are then read into the machine and off we go. Us bloody foriegners ha.
  19. Tried code 15136 but its still not reading the tolerance in when machining pockets. Anyone got an idea.
  20. Cheers I`ll give it a go again tomorrow. Thanks everyone.
  21. Thanks, almost there. I can get the tolerance for all surface ops includeing Highspeed ops. I have searched the document till I cant see anymore, but still cant find the parameter for pocket cycle tolerance. Anyone able to tell me the number before I break something. Thanky everyone.
  22. Thanks guys, done it, and works how I wanted. The next quicky question. I want to write a quick postblock, do I just call the block anyname with a p infront, or does it have to be insert in the correct order.
  23. Thanks I will start looking there.
  24. Done that done search on forums done everything I could before I asked on here.
  25. I have had a search for this, but not found anything. Is there anyway to capture the value of the Filter tolerance and pass it to the post. Any ideas or pointers? Thanks
