It sure would be nice to be able to select operations from the tree and run a report on them other than "setup sheet". Like grab 3 or 4 operations and run a simple tool list or custom report on just those operations. X6 wishlist I suppose..
X4 mu3 - moving towards X5
I am attempting to machine 4 axis type toolpaths with a right angle head? Anyone here have any experience with this? The toolpaths don’t seem too difficult. It looks like the post processor is going to be the biggest challenge.
I’m using MPmaster and it doesn't look like my version has aggregate head support.
Any input would be great..
Thanks,
Randle
This will keep me from ever using X5. The GUI tool list was perfect and integrated perfectly into our work instructions. I did create a simple Active Report tool list, but it's far too slow and clunky with forced screen shots and all that crap.. All we need is a simple tool/holder list. Disappointed with X5...
Just wondering.. I got a newby that wants to learn programming.
Anything better than streaming teacher for self learning? besides trial and error.. lol!
You are right.. It was purchased bare bones and the powers that be dont want to purchase inverse time.
They wanted me to look into it until they realized that it costs $$ to turn it on. now its on back burner till another part that requires it comes in, by then some other programmer will go through the same whole routine... again..
oh well, it's not my machine or I would have it..
whats funny is that our cheap old HAAS machines have inverse time capabilities..
Interesting.. Sounds like there may be some mis-information here passed on to me.. go figure..
(content deleted) to protect the guilty..
Maybe I should change my sig to "Ultimate Programming Rockstar with such a huge ego that he can give a crap less about anyone else cuz his programming skills speak for themselves!!"
Yeah, I kinda like that...

ok after digging through piles of poorly written manuals I found that it is capable.. I would think the darn tech would know this.
Now I just need to find a tech capable of turning it on.. lol! what a PITA..
