Anybody here familiar with a Matsuura H-plus 630 and if it is capable of G93 inverse time feedrate.
Our machine tool technician doesn’t even know what inverse time feedrate is.. and says he cant turn it on..
or a link to a good Matsuura tech would be great.
Thanks.
If you are cutting a true half sphere the toolpath will not be an arc. A ball mill will use the tangency of the tool along the path. Side of the tool at the side and tip at the bottom. It's always changing along the path.
Every large aerospace company I have worked for always moves the part to the best location for fixturing and programming. It's usually done in the Engineering dept during fiture design. When I get the part and fixture models they are right where they need to be for fast, accurate programming
Keep It Simple Stupid..
I'm looking at a new part that would require the use of an right angle aggregate head along with simultaneous (inverse time feedrate) 4-axis toolpath on a rotary table.
Has anyone tried this??
Anything I should be aware of??
This is gonna be a fun science project..
Looks like a fun one.. Sometimes aerospace parts like this will have a mismatch spec callout on the print that will let you use a bull endmill on the closed walls.
I love these kind of parts.. w
Cant wait till it's fixed.. I really like the new tool holders for verification and also the way they work within Active Reports to give a visual drawing of the holder and tool. It Helps the set-up guys who cant or wont read..
I now have a pretty extensive library of every holder in our shop.
I have created a really simple Tool List through active reports which does not use any screen captures. Is there any way to turn off the operation screen capture mode so the screen does not fash and capture each operation? They are not needed or used in my Tool List and I think the report would gerate MUCH faster if I could skip these screen captures.
Thanks,
OH Yeah!! The mysterious offset bug!! This has got me before also. Now I always do a quick printout using the X+ set-up sheet which lets me quickly scan every operation for the correct offsets.
All it takes is one bad offset and the part is SCRAP!!!
