  11. Good afternoon folks, Morning to you all on the west coast. I've asked on this subject before but not quite the same. We're looking into verification software. We're looking at Metacut and Vericut. Can anyone tell me the differences between the two besides the price. For examples being user friendly? and if you can verify 4th and 5th axis programs? Also is was wondering about the verification that comes with mastercam itself. Is that a toned down version of vericut or just something mastercam came up with? Any info would greatly be apprieciated. Thanks in advance. Joey

  17. +1000000 James. I'm surprised with young mans dilemma, Rochester is deep in all types of manufacturing companies and it has a wonderful tech. school ( Rochester Institute of Technology) there. Where is the educational system going? At the local community college, enrollment is up in the machining program but these kids are just content on only applying themselves enough to get by and only be content on being button pushers and nothing more. I don't know maybe I'm just rambling but I am always looking to learn something to improve myself and things for my family and surroundings. JM2C Joey

Not much help sorry Joey

  24. Hi guys Sorry it took so long to get back to you all. I tried a little bit of this and a little bit of that last night and came up with something that I thought would work. I banged my head till around 10:30 so they could run it during the day. When I got here they had all the parts ran off doing, it the long way and never tried what I came up with last night. (of well that's the way it goes though). But I am going to try all the other suggestions just so I can learn. JG, I tried that and the surface was trimmed and I couldn't extend the corners. Thanks anyway. Jay, Thanks for your patience and help. I'll have to look at it from home because I have trouble accessing your site here at work. I'm not sure if it's IT Department of me. If you could, could you email me a copy of the file. I would like to learn from my mistakes. Everyone else, Thanks so much for your help. Joey
