  6. Evening all Just wondering if Mastercam has a wrap feature? I got some 2D geometry and I would like to wrap it around a upside down U-shaped surface. Project isn't working for me. We were able to do it in Pro-E but I was wondering if MC had a way to do it. Thanks for any input. Joey
  7. I have to echo what Kathy said. It is pricy but for us it has paid for itself probably within 6 months. Training is definitely worth it. I went to the 5 day training course and it was worth it. There's alot to learn and practice makes it easier. I also have to add that their tech support is tops. They are always ready to help. Joey We got it mainly for our 5th axis work. I'm in the middle of creating a thermwood 5th axis router for Vericut and whenever I get stuck, I call and the tech support is there with the answer.
  8. Phil I use Vericut myself. It has saved me a number of times. I use the mastercam verify on 3 axis stuff sometimes but I usually use Vericut because it's there. Joey
  9. Thanks Steve but I'm looking to create a certain amount of points on each line. Joey
  10. Morning everyone, I'm wondering where (create - point - along entity ) is in "X". I can create points at the node points of a spline but now I need to do it along a line. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Joey

  12. Can some one tell me where xform stretch in "X" is? Maybe they renamed it or something. Thanks Joey
  13. You can select start point or select a point before you select your chain. HTH Joey
  14. I got it to work. I had to exit out and then get back into Mastercam. After that it let me regen. Have to keep that in mind incase it ever happens again. Joey
  15. I also can not backplot any of my previous contouring operations. The geometry is there but it does nothing when I try to backplot them. I'm pretty sure I have done this before. and
  16. Morning all I seem to be having some difficulty regening a drill operation in "X". I brought opened a mc9 file in "X" so all my toolpathes would be there. Then I just change the machine. This has been working pretty good for me. From there I just do my new toolpathes and all is good in the world. But today I some of the previous drill operations became dirty and I can't regen them. I tried to repick the points and that didn't work. I tried creating a new tool and that didn't help. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Joey
  17. Roger, I wasn't sure what you were talking about in the first half of your latest response, but I did check the disable hardware acceleration button. That worked. By checking that is it going to affect anything else? Thanks Joey
  18. Roger, That didn't work for me either. Joey
  19. mross I get the problem in both lathe and mill.
  20. Morning everyone, I got a question on backplotting in "X". It may have been touched on before, I don't know and I haven't searched for it. Here's my question: When I'm stepping through backplot, the tool backs up if I don't keep stepping. Is there a way to turn that off or something ? Any suggestions? Thanks Joey
