  1. This is my first job also as a full time programmer and I always wonder if they are pleased or agitated. But, the boss man always says that he is very pleased with my work. Hang in there Mister even a Rookie can beat out his eval.
  2. Jimmy, Thanks for teh correction.
  3. Those extra moves can be edited thru your Toolpath editor. But, that takes time.
  4. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Please, be advised to read teh FAQ. Christmas is coming and I don't think there will be a post from these guys under the old tannenbaum.
  5. Not only is MC rock solid software but I have gotten nothing but good tech support from my good freinds in Atlanta at CADCAM Solutions. Thank you chris, Steve and Allen. You guys do a jam up job.
  6. Spleepless in Cleveland. Tennessee
  7. Whoops! My bad! I didn't see that. Looks like you are right. Thanks.
  8. Greetings to all, As I was verifying my part in true solid sim. I accidently right clicked on the play (machine) button. The sim. stopped and a box popped up. The top of the box says, "Verify tools." There is a check box in the box that says "Display time to verify". If you check the box and click "OK" MC continues forth from there to finish the sim. My questions are. What does this do? What does it tell me? Because I see that no new info has popped up on the screen before or after the sim. is finished.
  9. Uh-oh! I wonder how long before REKD replies?
  10. Congrats. I myself just moved to member from new member status.
  11. Thats exactly what I need to do. Me and the 1st shift programmer need to come in a Saturday when no one is here and do some trial runs on the Grex. Thank God, he has a lot of Mazatrol exp. Maybe I should take that book home and read it? I've seen those guys on Mazatrol blow me on programmimg. They can do 2D programming real quick. And another thing, I just passed form new member to member status.
  12. Yeah, what Chris M said. I've used it. Can't go wrong there.
  13. "What we have here is a failure to communicate!!"
  14. The machine is less than a year old. I've been in this trade for 13 years and I have never ran a Mazak. Couldn't program at the control if I tried. But, from what I have seen it looks very EZ.
  15. I found a T_PLC Program file on the C: on the machine. In it was 9000.eia and index.tbl. Under 9000.eia there wasn't anything I was looking for.
  16. Hey guys, Andrew- I talked to Steve ( Cadcam solutions ) he said that our post is set up for sub spindle and would handle it. Harryman-I tried doing what you tried. That is to set Cplane to Side with right spindle under Millturn parameter, but that did not seem to work. On backplot the tool would come in pointing at the main then turn and switch to sub direction. All the numbers for tool position looked great but you never know til you try to machine it. I know that the backplot and the verify can look great in MC and crash like HE double hockey sticks in the machine. I am not quite sure about the coordinate rotation macro. Archie (dayshift) has been on the horn with Mazak to try and figure this all out. Mazak has been very helpful to us. So, we'll see what they say. Grant- When I try to go to Cadcam's FTP site I get an FTP folder error. Does anyone know that is??
  17. Help, I am trying to learn to machine on an Integrex 300Y sub-spindle. This paricular machining will be your basic machining on the face of the part- drilling, tapping and counterbore milling. I can do all of this with ease on the main spindle, just flip around to Cplane 5 and go to work. But what, pray tell, do I do with my Cplane on the sub? Flip it round so that the Z is coming out of the chuck or leave it alone? And another thing. What does the Cplane look like when you mill on the sub spindle with the B axis in a vertical position? The dayshift programmer and I are really struggling trying to learn this new machine. I am the night shift programmer and I only have you guys (and gals) to turn to for help. If I don,t reply by 2 AM EST, I will reply after 4 PM EST. Thanks,
  18. Workin' on 13 years and couldn't be happier.
  19. Thanks! This forum kicks serious booty.
  20. Hello fellow 'cammers, Is there any way to set a default size for Operations Manager window. Sometimes it will stay the size I want it to. Other times it will be very small and I have to enlarge it. It is getting to be somewhat of a nuisance. Any help is appreciated.
  21. Thanks for yor help, gentlemen.
  22. When making a hardcopy the name and date header come out microscopic. The geometry comes out fine. Printing with a linewidth pixel conut of 3. Using Mastercam Mill V9.1 mill level 3. Using a non-color printer.
