Occasionaly we get an arc positioning error in our programs. V9SP1 and posting with Hiedihain conversational post.If I change tool path slightly ie finish amount or post ISO the program runs ok.
What should I change in post to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance
Ocasionaly when posting a group we drop an operation or get a double tool call (even though same tool number). Each group is for a specific tool and we post 1 program for each tool.
We are running 2 seats of MC V9.0 SP1 and the config file is in a common place.
If you select group and change common otions-change NCI path problem goes away.
How do I make sure we dont have to do this at all as it can & has caused a crash.
Thanks in advance.
When ramp feeding with plunge feedrate ticked , there is no feed rate posted in programm so its doing it at rapid.
We are running V9 sp1 and using a modifyed Heidihain conversational post.
Where do I start lookig.
Thanks in advance
Is anyone out there programming or using a dekel DMU50e for 5axis commponents.
Id like to know what post you are using and how it performs. I need as much feedback as possible to get some money from the bean counter to get something.
Why its so hard ,I don't know. 5 machines but no 5 axis post has got me
Gidday Bruce
We run 2 seats and share all common files thru our server.
If your PCs can see each other I cant see it being a problem , just set the config file to the wright and it should work. We havn't had a problem yet but make sure any changes to common files are documented or passed on so everyone knows whats going on.
Can any of you kind people e-mail me a set up sheet template in exel or word, or if there are any on the ftp site can someone send those as I cant acsses that site.
Thanks in advance

When ever I go into my tool libary the default seems to be that it lists tools in order of dia.
I want it to be by tool No# , I know you just click tool No# a couple of times to get them in order but why do it if I dont have to.
Thanks in advance

We need to purchase 0-80 unf taps for an upcoming job. The matl is 6061 aluminium. The taps have to be cut taps and spiral flute. We have tryed a couple of brands without much luck.
Any leads would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Im at my wits end.
We have Mcam V9 level 3.
The type of product we specialize in are components for the microwave telecomunication industry.Mostly aluminium. Batchs of 100 to 10,000.
Enough said.
Its all about cycle time and 2 axis programing wins every time .
But the customer and technology demands that the model must be used.
Is this a no win situation or can surface , model machining of " 2d" components better the cycle time compared to 2d programming.
