Where do I get the patch? I am converting the files with x_t

I have SolidWorks 2004. MC cannot open these sldprt files. It will open 2003 files without any problems. What can I do about this? Is there an upgrade, patch or what?

I have not had that problem and I truely hope I don't get it. As far as working today, I know how you feel.

CNCme That's great . . . I had the same problem and like robk, except that I used a notepad. I don't get much iges now, but the next time one comes in, I will be ready.

Rick, I contacted my Admin and he copied old TXT file over new one. Once I changed to correct TXT file, everything was good. Thanks for all the help. Also, thanks to everyone who pitched in to solve this problem. Happy New Year

I am using the original file that was installed wi SP2. Also, my dealer was notified and suggected deleting the config file and restarting MC to reset the config files to its default. No luck. He is not able to fix the problem. Gcode, I do have a spaceball and laters drivers. Unfortunily, I was away from my desk (5-10 minutes)when the geometry exploded. No one else was in the room at the time. I did not save the file, but open the original back up, so it was OK. I will have our administrator reinstall the drivers for the spaceball and go from there.

In the post or nc file?

Last week I requested some help, but no one seems to know the answer to my problem. I have done a fresh install after uninstalling and deleting everything that has to do with MC. I am still having this problem. I do not know if it is affecting anything, nothing else is strange. But, it would be nice to get some answers. 1) Yesterday, one file went "screwy". Suddenly, and I mean, SUDDENLY, my WCS switch from top to a numbered WCS which was NOT made. All arc and lines exploded and were placed all over the grid. 2) Four hours later I went to my config and recevied this error message "Message 436 in [configuration test] not found." This went through four steps with same message using numbers 436, 437, 438 and 439. 3) Then when I am in config and select the File tab, I get the same error message but for a different set of numbers 166 thru 169. Does anyone know what is going on?????????

I am having problems with the default reverse post. It gives this error message: Combined Mill and Lathe Post Processor Version 9.18 © Copyright 1992-2003 CNC Software, Inc. Processing file with RPFAN... Variable found, '=' or ':' expected. Post line number 143 Program execution halted due to error(s) in .pst Does anyone have a fix for this?

I have uninstalled MC and reinstalled using CD with SP2. Prior to that, MC would lock up the mouse and keyboad when delteing operations from the Operation Manager, red line operation and had to regen, WCS would change to an unused or undesignated number causing all geometry to explode, geometry would freeze on the monitor but not lock up, etc. Since the reinstall two/three weeks ago, only operation have red line and needed regen. I feel that "upgrading" was the problem, and "fresh" install solve the problem. Time will tell.

I have had some minor problems with v9.1sp2. Reading through past threads, I cind comments like "maybe it is your video card." I am using NVIDIA QUADRO 750 XGL video card with the latest updated drivers. What is the current opinion of this card?

Lathe-Mill, I have had the same problem with sp2. Several times my Operation Manager would "red line" the ops and I had to regen the toolpaths. Once, it took over an hour to regen (big file). I uninstalled and did a fresh install with the sp2 CD. So far, I have had do similar problems (about three weeks ago). I use Alt-A constantly, and I think it is beter than Auto Backup. I rather be in control of this, but just in case, mine is set for every 10 minutes. Can't be too cauious.

Santa Claus may have come and gone, but the Lord is here forever. This Christmas, He has provide my lovely wife and I a new home with a hugh landscaped back yard with a jacuzzi (8,000 sq ft). We also brought it under market value ($29,000 under a comparable home two blocks away, and they have NO jacuzzi).

I am 56. I started in an extrusion blow mold shop 1990 using MasterCAM 3.xx. I was a member of eMastercam for a few years but lost my password and changed e-mail address. Did not rejoin until this year (2003).

Merry Christmas I did not want to delete every toolpath. That is why I could not us "toolpath => New" or "file => save some". What I finally did (may have been overkill) was to delete 5 ops at a time. Then, "file => save", followed by "file => get". When I got down to the last 12 (keeping two), it locked again. Rebooted machine, and restarted MC. This happened twice. In the last effort, I deleted the last ten, one at a time.

The MC file is 9.14M with 43 operations.
