Morning all Running X9 beta 3 and was trying to change file association to X9. I go into set associations and have half my files associated with X8 so the X8 exe. file is there in the recommended programmes. So i head down to browse and navigate to my X9 folder and select the X9 exe file. Hit OK and it defaults back to X8 ??. I cannot get it to default to X9. Has anyone come across this?

Could be a few things Mark. What graphics card are you running and what PC.? Is it one all files or just one in particular?

V9 was not all that long ago for some Roger There has never been a "folder with icons" that you can replace/modify that will change the icons used on the Toolpath Manager toolbar in Mastercam X# That's what I needed to know. Thankyou

Thanks Jay. Still cant find the folder their in . They used to just be common/icons but here are only a few icons in that folder. Still unable to find the toolpath manager icons

So no one here can tell me where the tool manager icons are if if we are able to edit them ?.

G day All Since moving to X8 i changed the app look to 7 which is a lot easier on the eyes for me. The only thing i don't like is that a few of the icons across the top of the toolpaths manager ( toggle display button) is really hard to see. A few might remember in Version 9 we were able to go into the icons folder and change the look of the icons. Problem i have is that i cant find the tool path manager icons. Anyone know where they are or can steer me in the right direction. Much appreciated. Im out of here for the weekend. Try a metric c/drill murlin and see what that looks like. Ive tryed both metric and imperial and it only happens with the Imperial c/drill as far as i can see.

Thats exactly what i did first. Been caught like that before when i started running duel screens. The only other time i have ever had this error was as u say, when u try and open another session before the last one has finished closing. Ive had enough for today so i will tackle it tomorrow and see what i find. Goodnight all Daz

Good Afternoon All today i updated to ( 17.0.17986.0 ) And have had a problem with the Simulation. I select the Simulation start up settings and nothing happens. I then try to open run simulation and i keep on getting an error coming up telling me that the Current Simulation is still Discarding. Ive been away from the PC for an hour or so to start another job and Ive come back to the same thing. Any ideas or help would be appreciated Cheers Daz

Thats the main reason i went over to the trackball mouse. have no problem at all with my hand anymore.

I Used a space pilot for a few years but it disappeared from my desk over a weekend. i ended up buying a Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse. I really like using this mouse and have had no wrist pain since i started using it.

Been using X8 for a while now and love it. Still have v9 installed for the more complex jobs.

In order to change the Hardware acceleration settings for these cards, you'll need to open the control panel for your card. You can access it by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting your Nividia video card control panel.

Gday All Well we have tried the lot and came up with this. V9 does not function well with anything windows have brought out after XP. Windows7 - Windows XP mode is not worth the download. So we built a really cool duel boot system with massive hard drive ( thanks gcode you talked me into it ) Thanks for all the replies guys. cheers Daz
